08.14.20 | I have quite a soft spot for Molok but yeah top 5 is pretty inpenetrable - I don't think I've ever seen anyone's favourite Gazpacho albums being their first 3 records | JJKeys
08.14.20 | How are you feeling about Fireworker? | MementoMori
08.14.20 | @JJKeys: Indeed, I really dislike those first three releases, especially relative to their later output. Molok could probably vie for the top 5 spot. As far as fire worker is concerned, I haven't yet listened to the entire record of course, but I thought the single was solid as hell. The production quality is especially impressive. | Henderson
08.15.20 | Yup, aside for the first few albums these guys have always had an incredible production and mix, definitely one of the best sounding bands I can think of. I'm really excited about Fireworker, the single was very promising.
Also I agree with your ranking. Maybe I could swap 2 and 3 but honestly it's a really close call between those two for me and it changes by the day. The others are unquestionable IMO. | MementoMori
08.15.20 | @Henderson: Fair. I probably prefer Demon's production over tick-tock, but musically the albums are pretty close in terms of quality. Single was fire indeed! | Henderson
08.15.20 | @MementoMori: Oh absolutely, in terms of production I think Demon is their best album without a doubt. I honestly feel it's one of the best sounding albums I own. Musically Tick Tock and Demon are on par for me, but I have a soft spot for the former, probably because it was the first Gazpacho album I got. |
