Bleach03 - Kibakuzai (this is top-grade hardcore with these absolutely nutso funk-inspired basslines, most savage all-girl trio ever probably. Runtime is pretty light on this one)
O'Summer Vacation - Wicked Heart (more power trio carnage with dope bass and fun chaos, bonus points for being Dewi's band)
John Zorn - The Crucible (noisey power trio madness with Trevor Dunn and Mike Patton raising all kinds of hell and Zorn guesting on sax. Distorted as fuck bass.)
Do Make Say Think - Goodbye Enemy Airship... (post-rock with the best rhythm section in the game. Lovely lovely bass, bit of a change of tone from the list though. First track on Other Truths also has some absolutely delicious bass licks)
Bloodthirsty Butchers - Kocorono (more a guitar band honestly, but with excellent bass and I think this record is pretty essential in general especially given your tastes - think of it as a better, longer, far more emotional You're Living All Over Me) |
