The point is knowing people's opinions on the albums and I'm already finding bias on the Lingua Ignota one which was exactly what I was expecting. People can't distance themselves from the emotional connection KH claims her album has, and they decide to ignore their obvious imperfections.

How you've chosen to respond to it is pretty telling. Also, KH has no obligation for the mental well-being of someone who abused her so thoroughly that she received spinal injuries as a result. I used to have a horror nerd YouTube channel and fantano was kind of tied in with that community when he was just starting out. We used to interact sometimes and I always watched his vids back then. Kinda fell out of touch with it discovering newer channels but I need to start watching some stuff again. Feel like he's got a good variety of stuff he covers although our taste doesn't line up on a decent chunk

Don't mix accepting what she did but pointing out flaws, with blaming her for anything. I may amplify some things when I'm being pushed yes, and I admit that's something it may happen, although I try to control it. You're wasting your time because deep down I think you recognize how fair I am being.

Especially when the entire reason you're choosing to do so is because you're livid that a music critic gave an album a higher score than you think it deserves.

I'm livid because people all around the internet are telling a person with BPD, a disorder that has 10% of completed suicides, to kill himself and he claims it's false accusations. You'd think he would at least admit something but he clearly says he absolutely did not abuse her either mentally or physically. With this said, now looking at KH side, she is obviously the one we need to protect the most, but when we're talking about the intricacies of the situation it should be acceptable to also consider the management of the accusations (even them being not objectionable at all).

Although, I need to speak up and say that.. people have no idea how unmanageable it is.. Anyway, music is the focus.. I don't like this album, and in other hand I liked Caligula so much I gave it a 4.5.

lifetheory 08.07.22	BAT: I am a huge fan of Kurt Ballous' albums productions, so I can't speak much ill of Nails. I recognize how banal they may be when in comparison and how Kurt's production makes the whole difference. Death Grips have also made some decent albums, although I wouldn't give neither a 10. Regarding Meshuggah, I find it to be a bit repetitive to be fair.

BAT 08.07.22	big fan of kurt ballou aswell and he definitely gives nails their trademark punchiness. nails is 'pretty good' but don't really set themselves apart from the late 2000s crustcore bands like 'trap them' or 50% of the other bands kurt ballou produced between 2007-2015, they have a straight forwardness that's admittedly fun tho. i saw them live and they played for like 25-30 mins[while headlining] and saw some 6'5'' foot dude run across the pit and front flip onto a 4' gal, double kicking her in the face and crushing her to the ground. 25% of their set was the vocalist bitching about cancel/outrage culture because metalsucks wrote joke articles about him. only caught the tail end of misery indexs opening set annnd that 8 mins went harder than nails whole show. also saw full of hell the weekend prior for a 1/5th the price and they played at least twice as long and hung out with the audience, nails had louder amps i guess but that was really my only takeaway[aside from the facekicking]. the other members of nails left a year or two later so maybe i just caught them on an off night or wasn't in the right mood, i still like their first two albums tho. i'm also a longtime fan of deathgrips[and hella] but none of their albums are 10s imo, everytime i go back to money store i end up skipping half the tracks on it tbh. annnd as for meshuggah : yes they're very repetitive lol, it's a consistency among their discography and makes them kind of a love em/hate em type of band. buuut fantano basically gave it a 'not good' because meshuggah made an album that sounds like more meshuggah, when they've been doing that for decades now[including the albums he supposedly likes: catch33/chaosphere]. its kinda like complaining about converge making a converge album, idk it's a just lil bit of a headscratcher.

Rust in Peace got lucky because Mustaine stupid vocals almost screwed the 5 up. I downgraded Master of Puppets because I felt the album didn't resist the test of time.. Tool albums are also hanging by a thread because I'm yet to decide if I can be tolerant regarding Maynard pretentiousness.
