10.02.20 | 13 is soooo gooood love it. |
dedex
10.02.20 | nice!
Trif btw could you rec me a couple 2020 house/techno records? I've been lagging πΆ |
Trifolium
10.02.20 | If you're into old-school techno vibes: Roland Tings
More glitchy stuff: Andrea
Super amazing analogue and repetitive: Craven Faults (see Pt. 1 of my 2020 records)
Sunny and 90s: Andras (AUS) (Pt. 1 too)
More repetition: T. Gowdy (Pt. 1)
But probably my fave of this year (maybe Craven Faults, maybe this):
Pretty Sneaky (see Pt. 1), very dubby, field-recording heavy minimal techno that's just suuuuuuper tasty.
|
dedex
10.02.20 | coooooool thanks a lot man! |
Trifolium
10.02.20 | Oh and don't forget 13 dedex, there's vox on that one and they rule. |

3, 9 & 13 all sound very good too |
Trifolium
10.08.20 | Ah nice! I already thought it would be very budgiecore. Anything else on your list that I should check?
13 was soooooo cool Pangea! Really think it might appeal to many Sputters actually! |
Trifolium
10.26.20 | Oh my goodness go and listen to number 24 everyone!!!!!!!!! It has a thread too! |
dedex
10.26.20 | hey Trif I listened to Pretty Sneaky and Craven Faults, both real good although I have a slight preference for Craven Faults |
someone
10.26.20 | i'll do you one better, i'll listen to all the electronic albums on the list
really excited to hear new Theo Parrish. no idea why i haven't yet |
Trifolium
10.26.20 | NICE! Happiness dedex! I loved both of those a lot. If you want more check the The Soft Truth, it's amazing.
And someone do you mean 'just' those on Part 2 or will you include my Part 1 list as well π€ Theo Parrish was superb as well yes. |
Pangea
10.26.20 | 24 sounds goood. will listen! |
Trifolium
10.26.20 | Even more happiness Pangea! Hope you dig it! |
someone

That eartheater cover is the only good thing about it tho |
porcupinetheater
10.26.20 | So behind on 2020 jams, havenβt heard any of these. Thanks for the recβs and reference, Trif |
Trifolium
10.26.20 | Hope you find something good!!!
And yeah RX101 is delicious. Love it a lot, might be as good as his last year's effort.
And eeeew Pots eeeeek. |
Trifolium
10.26.20 | My pleasure porc! Do check Part 1, with 99 more records! There are some lovelies there too! |
someone
10.30.20 | so a quick overview of what i've heard so far:
Misha Panfilov was really good, just the chill ambient jazz i needed lately
Andrea was a mixed bag, but ultimately a lot of good and a lot of slogs
Maarja Nuut and Ruum was a little chill-trippy and great for atmosphere, really enjoyed it |
Trifolium
10.30.20 | Oh nice someone! Glad you enjoyed them!
I thought Misha and Maarja were both lovely too. |
Trifolium
10.30.20 | Hahaha!
If you look at the actual syllables it isn't, it would be Tri or Trifo then, but I like Trif personally (ha!). |
Trifolium
10.30.20 | Exactly. I thought about this too when I chose the username but I can live with all of them. And I figure a nickname can be something totally different than the actual name so why not Trif? In Little Women Jo calls Laurie Teddy!!!! |
Trifolium
10.30.20 | For sure, whatever will we do when we can't go to classic literature for answers.
I obviously liked all of these, Roland was nicely warm and I'm a huge sucker for those old school vibes as you probably know by now. |
Trifolium
10.30.20 | For sure yes! My pants get baggier just from saying it! |
someone
11.01.20 | Theo Parrish was a disappointment, not gonna lie. |
someone
11.01.20 | it's like a strange repetitive hour-long exercise in scratching a record of scratching on a chalk board |
Trifolium
11.01.20 | Hmm, I liked it (obviously) but I've never heard anything from him before. This Is For You was too good to ignore though, so good!!! |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
11.03.20 | Been checking some of these, 25 is a standout so far |
Trifolium
11.03.20 | I'm starting to think I was a bit strict with my rating on that one. It was very nice indeed! |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
11.03.20 | Also liked 9 10 13 17 |
budgie
11.03.20 | pots pots pots pots pots pots pots pots |

Trifolium
11.03.20 | Omg yes someone!!! 13 is so nice! Really looking forward to spending more time with it.
What is Loma band!? |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
11.03.20 | Art pop / ambient pop |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
11.03.20 | Album is called Dont Shy Away |
Trifolium
11.03.20 | Ah I see you bumped its older brother. Lovely cover for the 2020 one! Will check. |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
11.03.20 | Ye, I bumped the last alb tho not the new one |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
11.03.20 | Lol nvm |
Trifolium
11.03.20 | Hahaha I snipe-edited! Although the other one looks cool too. |
budgie
11.03.20 | ya pots i think i jammed a couple singles before the release, thx gonna jamm it now |
Pangea
11.03.20 | 13 is nice. i can't say i was too captivated but maybe it will grow a bit |
Trifolium
11.03.20 | Especially like Happy Mr Krueger from 13. Fun moment!
Agnes is still my AOTY. RX-101 and The Soft Pink Truth are also up there. But we have two more months to go and I need to check all of my bookmarked October records too, so who knows!? |
Pangea
11.03.20 | underneath there is was my fave. it has a really nice build up |
Trifolium
11.03.20 | Yeah that one is lovely too! Just jammed it again, holds up nicely but I don't think it's going to grow into something more. |
someone
11.03.20 | https://threebody.bandcamp.com/album/three-body-3 |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
11.06.20 | 28 is fucking awesome.
The premise - and the music to an extent - reminds me of this Asa Tone album 'Temporary Music' but it's a member from Young Magic visiting her home of Indonesia with a couple other musicians and setting up a temporary studio in the jungle and recording and then editing a bunch of improv pieces |
Trifolium
11.06.20 | Oh man yes!!! I loved it too, and I wanted to rec it to you but I forgot! And dude I need to get on that Asa Tone album ASAP, that sounds amazing. |
someone
11.06.20 | really enjoying 28 so far |
Trifolium
11.06.20 | I'm going in for more too. It sure is good, that one! |
Pheromone
11.06.20 | rec me something pal ! |
Trifolium
11.06.20 | Hmmmmm, judging by your ratings, I'd say go either:
Sea Oleena (super calm and quiet)
or
Juana Molina (live album, some weirdness, some rock, does whatever she wants)
From Pt.1 of this list:
Georgie Sweet's full length (super smooth, super delish)
or
MOAR (horrible band name, lovely jazzy hip hop!) |
Archelirion
11.06.20 | Sea Oleena [2] - didn't realise she had a new one out!! Will have to give that a peep
Listening to the Animal Man Machine release and it's pretty sweet. I tend to prefer black metal that delves into histrionics/hard riffs more but some measured atmosphere works really well too (I have Rain Upon the Impure 5'd innit) |
Archelirion
11.06.20 | Okay I take that back, Telos just started and kicked me in the balls fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck |
Trifolium
11.06.20 | Yessss Arch that one is super cool! I need to hear it again soon, it's been a while. Hope you dig Oleena as well, really liked it myself. |
Trifolium
11.16.20 | New Monolake whaaaaaaaaaaat!? It's lovely so far!!! |
Sabrutin
11.16.20 | Used 9 as background music somewhere in the summer, cool stuff. Gonna peep 8 and 31 |
Trifolium
11.16.20 | Coool! Hope you dig! |
wildinferno2010
11.16.20 | We overlap a bit in gaze and trip-hop, but other that your taste is totally different from mine, Trif. A lot of this looks interesting, I'll make a note to check it next time I'm in the mood to try something new |
Trifolium
11.16.20 | Ah nice Inferno! Hope you can find something cool among these.
Any recs for me from this year? Do you see something that I haven't rated yet but totally should have? |
someone
11.16.20 | gonna check Sea Oleena, Pole and Monolake |
Trifolium
11.16.20 | Oh someone I really love those three. Although those particular ones aren't Pole's and Monolake's best.
You're my hero π |
someone
11.25.20 | so i listen to all the 4+ entries and you then go ahead and just add more? okay, Sault sampling on the way |
Trifolium
11.25.20 | Hahaha! Of course! And there's still Part 1 someone, with many more 4 and above records... Hope you enjoy π |
wildinferno2010
11.25.20 | @Trifolium ya know, it's a few years old now but there was a band from my city called half/cut that you should check out. They have one album out so far, kind of Cocteau Twins meets the Cranberries, meets post-rock. I think you'd dig |
Trifolium
11.25.20 | Duuuuude that sounds superb! Going to check them for sure. |
someone
11.26.20 | Sault didn't do much for me.
and you should probably add (UK) behind the band name, cause the album's on a wrong page and might be wiped soon. |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
11.26.20 | welp that explains why i didn't have it rated when i thought i did, i originally rated it on the uk page |
Trifolium
11.27.20 | Thanks for the warning, I'll change it when the time comes!
Sad that it wasn't your thing but that happens. |
Trifolium
12.09.20 | New entries keep coming in. 139 albums of 3.5 and above so far for 2020, not bad! |
Trifolium
12.15.20 | 31 is so goooooood! Monolake has done it again. Plateaux Orthogonal is amazing. |
