| Fear Factory - Transgression - Recoded
This album gets a lot of hate. Generally last in most FF lists. But does it deserve to be? Well, a few tracks (especially the U2 cover) are a bit lame. Re-organized this album, pulled in two b-sides (Empire, My Grave), and removed three tracks (Supernova, New Promise, I Will Follow) to make this a heavier and tighter (48-minute) representation of FF. Still no Archetype, but hella better. | 1 | Fear Factory Transgression
Best track on the album - put this up front. | 2 | Moment of Impact
The song does not deserve its position at the end of the album - one of the best tracks on this album. Moved up to 2 and a perfect transition to… | 3 | 540,000 Fahrenheit
Better as a track 3 spot than the prior lead off track | 4 | Spinal Compression
Finishes off the top 4 and strongest tracks of the album. From here, maintains the heavy but slows down a wee bit to... | 5 | My Grave
An exclusive download b-side. As the centerpiece, Allows the album to breathe a bit in the middle, without losing alot of heavy. Has some great B. Bell cleans. Transitions into... | 6 | Empty Vision
A second heavy, but less aggressive track - enhancing the middle fluff layer in the oreo. Utimately... | 7 | Contagion
After a brief, subdued intro, Gets going hard again. Transitions into... | 8 | Millennium
A damn good cover. Not the heaviest FF vocals, but have always liked this. Keeps the heavy and faster pacing, transitioning to... | 9 | Empire
Another hard hitting b-side - was on the Best Buy and Japan versions. Sound fades away on this track and transitions perfectly into... | 10 | Echo of My Scream
A perfect closer, in the vein of Final Exit or Expiration Date. | |

03.02.23 | Always dug this album and iteration of FF, but I understand the issues. My first thought was to break into two Eps, a heavy one and a softer one (or volumes similar to The Alchemy Index by Thrice). But better as above. Could have included the U2 cover at the end…after a minute or more of silence (similar to how Disturbed did with ISHFWILF). Supernova and New Promise should have been b-sides. | Willie
03.02.23 | It's not a bad album, but it definitely falters near the end. 540,000° Fahrenheit and Empty Vision are classic level Fear Factory. | Assemblage
03.19.23 | I will have to try this actually... I appreciate this style/concept cause I like experimenting with alternate tracklists myself.
540,000° Fahrenheit is a goat FF song, imo. so it'll be tough to shake how good of an opener it is. | artiswar
03.19.23 | t/t and moment of impact are really great too. Not many bad songs on this at all, just the production is bad and it felt rushed. The covers should have been bonus tracks. | Flugmorph
04.05.23 | Supernova, New Promise and I Will Follow are some of my favs on here lol but nice effort i can see the vision. | normaloctagon
