I’m still flabbergasted as to why it’s being so critically acclaimed even from a regular fan’s standpoint. the lyrics were full stop cringeworthy, almost like they would’ve fit perfectly fine on a dragonforce record; matt heafy’s vocal delivery is almost too on point with chad kroeger that nickelback could file for copyright infringement; the guitarwork goes through stages of being cheesy and just being flat out uninteresting; and the drumming that the fanbase constantly boasted about just got washed out because every other aspect of the record was so terrible |
