This album is chock full of bangers, the only problem is that it's also got quite a bit of filler.

Richly textured ambient that really gets the ol' neurons firin'.

Gorgeous, heartwarming indie pop. Got a soft spot in my heart for this album, but it's sometimes too samey to be higher on this list.

Kamasi's trimmed the fat a bit to deliver a more consistent, if less amazing, project.

Dissonant, wild stuff - but still gets my head noddin' and my foot tappin'.

First time listening to a Converge album went over pretty well.

Haunting stuff. Bibio creates some stunning imagery + textures with impressively little instrumentation.

You know how in adventure movies there's often that point where the protagonist has to cross this rickety ass bridge? The songs on this album are more rickety than that bridge, and yet they hold together.

A Hairshirt of Purpose
An album that scratches all the right itches for me, I guess. Those linear song structures still get me after many, many re-listens.
