if the sink ships (2/8/2018)

absolutely none of this was supposed to happen
1Child Abuse
Cut and Run

weirdo metal

i do not condone this behaviour, HOWEVER,
2Project Pablo
There's Always More at the Store

grouse house

this is coy and shy house music. i want to Dance with a capital D but also i feel like it'd be inappropriate to take my hands out of my pockets. nice
3Solid Space
Space Museum

coldwave, as in she's just not that interested

the recording devices in outer space possess an inimitable quality, but here i will try imitating this album with nothing but a kazoo and a ridiculous amount of effort. this is post-post-punk
4Modern Studies
Welcome Strangers

1) chamber pop, code for pop with strings, "bucolic" is a nice word and this band is nice
2) Blacklab - Under A Strawberry Moon: doom, stoner metal with psychedelic tendencies. "shit slaps dick" - staff reviewer verdant
3) Cult Party - And Then There Was This Sound: a monolith of bedroom pop/folk seeping into other rooms of the house.

centrelink-punk

oiiiii damooo ya dumb cunt gimme back mah farken loiiiighta
6The Dead Texan
The Dead Texan

uplift

if the texan is dead then the album doesn't focus on his/her corporeal form but the spirit panning upwards towards the next life. it collects memories, fulfilling relationships, formative ideas and finds a way to courier them into the texan's next stage of existing. bodies aren't needed but in the ambience death finds an accepting and nurturing home.
7Down I Go
You're Lucky God, That I Cannot Reach You

outlaw hardcore

best band oh lord,, grind me into dust and build me back up into a more interesting person. i hope i make friends at school by this time next week otherwise it's going to be a lonely and grey semester.

a word from the ill rhyme singers

lovelorn?? who's lorn? i got 99 problems and the majority seem to be related to matters regarding the opposite sex BUT i have a feeling this album will solve a few of them. i really like hip hop and i've been ignoring it recently.
10Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith
The Kid

cosmic pop

a bit like laurel halo i think except more tethered to the stars. voice and instrumentals blend together to form an intergalactic smoothie of self-discovery and otherworldly prettiness. there we have it folks , i have finally disappeared, limbs n all, up my own arsehole
