The latest rendition of Asia did a full 10-song set, with Steve Howe joining them for the last four songs. They also covered "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles (since their keyboard player is Geoff Downes), and "Lucky Man" (since Carl Palmer is their drummer.) Their new lead singer, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, isn't John Wetton, but he did a good job. | | 4 |  | Yes

Yes played a full set that included some unexpected material from their catalog, as well as a cover of John Lennon's "Imagine" (because drummer Alan White played), White still has physical ailments, so he only played on a few songs near the end of the set (with Jay Schellen carrying the bulk of the drumming load). | |

06.15.19 | The whole show was entertaining, although Arthur Brown's voice is pretty godawful, and John Lodge has also lost a lot off his voice. Yes's choice of material was good for someone like me, who's seen them a bunch of times - they did some of the more underappreciated songs in their back catalog. If it was my only time seeing them, though, I don't know how I'd feel about them not doing such staples as "And You and I" and "Heart of the Sunrise". I enjoyed the show, though, and most of the crowd seemed to be enjoying it too. The setlists for all four bands are available on www.setlist.fm. | Divaman
06.15.19 | Oh yeah, and this was one of the most interesting things - Carl Palmer's ELP Legacy used canned keyboards. I guess they figured that barring Rick Wakeman popping in, there was no keyboard player who was going to do Keith Emerson justice anyway, so eff it. | Jethro42

I for one would have expected more from Yes, I presume. And I assume it wasn't the Steve Howe version of Yes. | Divaman
06.15.19 | I mean taped -- there wasn't a live keyboard player present. And it was the Steve Howe version of Yes. I think the other version has broken up. Anderson and Wakeman are both going out on solo tours, and Anderson recently made a statement to the effect that he'd be open to joining Steve Howe's Yes again if he was asked. I just wrote an extensive (War and Peace-length) write-up about the show that I need to look over and proofread once on my blog, longislandmusicguy.blogspot.com.
