My Favorite 10 Eurythmics Songs

Two days ago I posted a review of the "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This Album)", and it was the first Eurythmics album reviewed on this site. This just won't do, people. So in order to hopefully get a few more people thinking about this classic '80s band I'm posting this list. The order is a little fuzzy. It's how I feel tonight, but it could be different by tomorrow morning.
10Eurythmics
Thorn in My Side

This one is almost a coin toss with "Missionary Man", but I think "Thorn in My Side" is just a little catchier.
9No Fear, No Hate, No Pain (No Broken Hearts)

Again, kind of a coin toss as to whether to include this one or "Cool Blue" from the same album. I went with "No Fear ..." in remembrance of the amazing live version I saw them do of this song on the "Touch" tour at the Forest Hills Tennis Stadium in Queens, NY.
8Julia

The "1984" album is a little uneven, but there are a few standout cuts, and this is one of them.
7This City Never Sleeps

Although they were probably thinking about London when they wrote this song, it always feels to me like it captures some important things about New York.
6Who's That Girl

This song should probably be higher on the list. Oh well. Maybe by tomorrow morning it will be.
5There Must Be an Angel (Playing With My Heart)

Annie joins the choir fantastic. Heavenly.
4Love Is a Stranger

As perfect a first few lines of lyric as you could ask for: "Love is a stranger/In an open car/To tempt you in/ And drive you far away".
3Doubleplusgood

Annie Lennox as Big Brother's mouthpiece is exquisite.
2Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)

The song that catapulted Eurythmics into the public spotlight, and deservedly so.
1Here Comes the Rain Again

Beats out "Sweet Dreams" by a hair. At least it does tonight.
