One Step Closer- We all have had that Linkin Park phase right? These guys, and Evanescence got me into metal. This song from their debut though always appealed to me. From the "aggresive" ( I did not know what Grindcore was yet.) lyrics that made me feel edgy, " SHUT UP WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU SHUT UP" All this Nostalgia wants me to get Baggy jeans, eyeliner, and dreadlocks. | | 4 |  | Limp Bizkit
Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog...
Hot Dog- In Middle school I loved this band, go ahead judge me. But I can still say with no shame that their first two albums are pretty decent. Then there was Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog flavored water. If you were to ask me my favorite albums of all time when I was in middle school, this would be number one. Jesus christ I was so cringy. The song Hot Dog was a favorite of mine growing up. I thought the lyrics were very emotional and intellectual. "FUCKED UP JEANS FUCKED UP LIFE A FUCKED UP KID WITH A FUCKED UP KNIFE" I go listening to this song when I want a feeling of nostalgia, and with a little bit of shame mixed in there. | | 3 |  | Slipknot

People Equal Shit- I always had a soft spot in my heart for Corey and the gang. (Even though listening to their music brings me back to Middle school, where I was at my maximum level of cringe.) Corey and the gang originally brought their attention to me with their masks, and their angry lyrics. But if I had to choose a song that is the epitome of what Slipknot tried to accomplish with their second album its this one.
