I think it was a gamecube and it was always the highlight of the visit. the tv and system were in a case so you couldn't mess with them and the game just was on all day. lots of fights with my brothers over whose turn it was. I never feared the dentist because of that game lol |

06.22.20 | Twinsanity may look alright but it was broken as shit (you could skip nearly all of it from the ice level, and it had free roam sections where if you accidentally stood in the wrong place you'd activate a cutscene and have to redo the entire previous level) and about half of it was cut, so a remaster would be sick but yeah, a pipedream.

The remakes fundamentally broke some of the platforming design in these games, most notably with pill-shaped hitboxes on enemies in the original game, not to mention jump physics are different and worse designed for the firsr game. Playing the first game in the remake trilogy is a fundamentally worse and oftentimes broken experience. |

They based the jump physics on Crash 2 and 3, which doesn't work as well for the first game. I guess if you like challenge then go for the remake because it makes the first game objectively more difficult

06.23.20 | Platformers always seem more difficult than I remember, then I realise that it's probably just down to tolerance level. I used to get frustrated as a kid, but for some reason you keep persevering, therefore creating the illusion that you were good enough to continually progress - I suspect false memories.
I wouldn't get as frustrated now, but I'm much more likely to give up and if it keeps happening then less likely to return. Maybe I'm just a fair-weather/casual gamer these days.
I have fond memories of the Crash franchise, so this could be interesting. |
