Spotify Surf: August 2017

I saw these on Spotify and thought, "fuck it - why not?" With that said I usually hear more albums than this on Spotify. Been busy, I guess.

Villains

I know this is popular on the forums, but I first decided to listened to it after Spotify rec'd it. I loved Songs for the Deaf so I checked it out. What I heard was not a bad album, but an ok album. I don't think it deserves too much praise, but I also don't think it deserves too much hate.

Symphony No. 4

Rec'd to me by Spotify as "Composer of the Day". Checked out this symphony, and while there were some cool elements and interesting things going on with the horns and flutes, it was kind of easy to tune out. Still very pleasant music, however.
Classification: average waves, 3.1

Needs

I don't know what compelled me to hear this album. I decided to check out something out of my comfort zone, but with that said I'm sure I could have gotten a better introduction. I was kind of irritated by the tin trap drums and the over-production with the vocals and autotune.
Classicifation: average waves, 1.8
