04.23.21 | After relistening to both (it’s been a while for me) I’m still very much in love with 2. It’s a high 4.5 for me. With the Rollins record, I think it may have grown off me. I still love the opener Oleo to death, but the rest, especially Dearly Beloved, were quite up to par with it for me, so I may drop it to a high 4 instead of a 4.5 |

Just wanted to suggest anyone following along with Jazz Weeks should check the Monobody album (I also just gave a quick review). Far from solely a jazz record, but lots of jazzy textures. Great stuff! |
