Don't read this comment section I'm pretty sure this is the only ranking so far with not a single entry getting a personal score below 70. Such a consistently good franchise.

Aerisavion 04.23.25	It's just a shame that The Girl in the Spider's Web was so godawful. Losing Rooney Mara's incredible performance as Lisbeth was a crime.

CaliggyJack 04.23.25	Remake ain't all that bad imo but that's for the Elm Street thread. Also Girl in Spider's Webs biggest problem really had very little to do with the film itself. I mean it was fine, but 1. It couldn't stand in the same field as Fincher's movie. 2. Adapted the 4th book in a series where only the first book had been adapted in America. 3. Adapted a book not even written by the original author but by a dude who had no fucking clue what he was doing. 4. Adapted a book that was widely derided by the fanbase of the OG Trilogy as shit. 5. Recasted everybody

BAT 04.24.25	evil dead 1 is my #1, it's a bit sloppy but so much fun. army of darkness is fun but always felt out of place to me as a follow up, on it's own it's great tho. haven't seen rise or the tv show yet
TheSonomaDude 04.24.25	imo evil dead 1 is a legitimately disturbing and unsettling horror film. it's definitely cheesy and rough around the edges moreso than something like the texas chain saw massacre, but damn dude it always gets under my skin. when scotty gets his eyes gouged out and he screams in agony for 2 straight mintues...fuckin brutal. i really like it.
Dromasta 06.15.25	Rise was terrible. I was shocked by the great reviews after watching it. It barely even felt like an Evil Dead movie. I give that piece of gore porn a 1.5/5.
Aerisavion 06.15.25	Yeah, I really couldn't stand Evil Dead Rise - by comparison Evil Dead (2013) is such a massive jump quality wise there's just no contest.

CaliggyJack 06.15.25	Francis Gallupi Yuma County was a fun film, though personally I don't think it was the greatest thriller of the year like others say, but I enjoyed it. Will be interested in seeing his perspective in Evil Dead. Evil Dead Burn will be directed by Sébastien Vanicek.
