BAT 02.27.23	surprised sixth sense isn't number one buuut, considering i haven't seen last air bender i'd say lady in the water is easily his least enjoyable movie i saw it in theaters cause the trailers made it look like a horror movie, annnd yeah nah it just felt like a waste of 2 hours. haven't seen much of his stuff since the happening, which itself is silly enough to warrant a watch. i know he didnt direct it but i thought devil was entertaining/campy

Interested to hear what's different between the film and book though. I also got Head Full of Ghosts and I think I'm gonna start with it before going into Knock
Sabrutin 02.27.23	No spoilers but there's a certain thing that affects the story a lot, which the movie decided to change. It's worth exploring both versions if the base concept intrigues you! My gripes are more on the writing itself so maybe you won't share them

combustion07 02.27.23	I'm hoping I'll enjoy his writing style but we shall see. I can be a bit picky when it comes to authors tbh and I'm not familiar with anything he's done yet. I listened to a podcast interviewing the author though and they talked about how there was one really significant change to the story. They didn't spoil it but my guess is that the ending is quite different and I think I may have an idea where it goes in the book without needing spoilers. In the interview the author honestly didn't seem too happy with the change with the way he talked about it. I'll return with my thoughts once I get around to reading though

That said I still haven't completely finished it so it's placement could change. I'm at the beginning of season 4 right now. It's so hard to compare a show to movies though.

BaselineOOO 03.01.23	I just watched Knock at the Cabin, his worst movie by far. The Visit (2015) is one of his underrated movies, I also love Lady in the Water (film has a weird vibe).

BaselineOOO 03.02.23	Shyamalan is an underrated art-house director for sure. All of his works are experimental tour-de-force (and sometimes tour-de-farces). He is courageous at expressing his deepest (and sometimes dumbest) beliefs. If he were European movie critics bitchez would worship this guy!
