They're constantly ignoring the fact that MLB pitchers almost always struggle more 3rd TTO. Even managers with healthy, good solid bullpens will usually try to stretch their obviously struggling starter with a velocity dip through 5 innings . It's maddening watching these old dudes "go with their gut" all the time when stats are available and blog posters are making better decisions |
