New Halloween Ranking

After watching Halloween Ends
12Halloween: Resurrection

This doesn't need a justification.
11Halloween Kills

Really dumb plotting, interesting kills were interrupted by dumb preaching about vigilantism and people yapping "evil dies tonight" over and over again.
10Halloween (2007)

I respect Rob for trying to do something different, and it would have succeeded had Zombie not been forced by the studios to make it more like the original movie. So instead of standing on its own, the film just becomes a retread of the 1978 movie, but worse.
9Halloween 5

Crap ideas on top of crap ideas. From the psychic connections, to the comic relief cops, to killing off Rachel... just really dumb, but Donald Pleasance was in it so that's still a plus.
8Halloween Ends

A fitting end to the "40 Timeline". I like how dramatic it was and I respected it's attempts to subvert my expectations as a viewer, and I didn't feel cheated by that subversion either.
7Halloween: 20 Years Later

Cool kills, nice plot and fantastic performance from Jamie as expected. LL Cool J added a nice change of pace to the dark shit happening all around. The ending was fantastic as well and put a nice closing to the "20 Timeline" story. At least... it should've.
6Halloween II (2009)

Bite me I like this movie. I thought Zombie did a great job of turning Halloween into a weird acid slasher that just had me enthralled.
5Halloween II (1980)

Cool performances from Jamie, Pleasance etc. Loved the hospital setting and it had some sick kills. The sibling twist is still one of the greatest plot twists in film history.
4Halloween (2018)

This movie didn't try to be more than it was and I respect the Hell out of that.
3Halloween 4

Great kills, Danielle Harris is excellent, script was fine. Pleasance was phenomenal as always.
2Halloween: Curse of Michael Myers (Producer's Cut)

Underrated gem of a movie. It returns to the more subtle creepy vibes of the original movie with some added supernatural elements I like. George Wilbur once again excels as Michael.
1Halloween (1978)

This doesn't need a justification.
