Ambient Recs

I'm totally new to this genre. Most of what I listen to is alternative/rock, so ambient is pretty far from my comfort zone, but In my school basement I found a copy of The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld. I decided to give it a listen and I thought it was great. My older brother told me to give a listen to Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works 85-92, and I thought that was even better. This is a genre I really want to get into. I was wondering if the sputnik community could tell me what's good and what's bad in this genre. It seems really cool
