It's hot.

It's really hot out. Even hotter in the printing press. Heat is loathesome ship me to fucking Iceland i'll pay the FedEx fees. On another note getting my first car soon, 2016 dodge escape. Turns out 26 is the authentic age of adulthood! Here's some uhhh recent jams that own also how are y'all doing this fine evening???
1If Kansas Had Trees
Where You Thought You Would Be

Big ups to artificialbox this is so fun and heartwarming n cozy. I love the local emo/punk scene, it really encapsulates the boring drawl of the area that ya kind of have to make something enjoyable out of. The valley is the midwest of the northeast. I hope this makes sense.
2PUP
The Dream Is Over

I cannot imagine this needs explanation but the cathartic rampant semi-whiny snarkiness of this album encapsulates self-loathing and regret in a way that is amusingly biting towards the self. And it riffs.
3Anathema
Weather Systems

This is so lush and enigmatic, like i'm floating on a pillar of clouds. Really pleasant when i'm just sittin atop Campbell's ledge watching the birds swoop by with the currently ferocious sun beating on me.
4Wormed
Omegon

Space gurgs ala Artificial Brain but decidedly less tense and a little more fun and bombastic even if the progressive tendencies here are more than what you'd find from Krisghu or Exodromos.
5Lupe Fiasco
Food & Liquor

I love beats with big orchestral elements behind them and FUCK does this play to that well. I also think that beyond being an extremely articulate beatmaker Lupe just has a spritely and gratuitous energy about him, and the fact that the 12 minute outro is him thanking every human under the fuckin sun encapsulates that.
6Truck Violence
Violence

This is sort of reminiscent of a more harrowing and dirtier IDLES imo. It's fun in moments, for sure, but something about it exudes this energy of drunken Canadian redneck in a way that is decidedly unwholesome.
740 Watt Sun
The Inside Room

Sad. Big sads, in fact. The kind that puts your heart in a vice and spits on it.
