| Genre kings- part 9
This is it. We have long awaited this day lads, a day of triumph. A day of freedom, one where we shall stand steadfast and strong atop our slain brethren and slain foes and bellow from the mountaintop our name. You have endured many hardships together, and formed nigh unbreakable bonds, but the time has come. Now, you must fight to the finish, ComeToDaddy, Land Diving (if you exist), you are all that is left, Two great men you were but only one can be the strongest, most intelligent, most personable and....have the greatest music taste. I have before you both one last obstacle before one of you can be crowned the genre king, and that obstacle is just like the ones you have faced before. What shall this one bring.... | 1 | | *shels Plains Of The Purple Buffalo

ComeToDaddy-Mana
Truly a fantastic note to end on. Mana feels like the end tale to a massive saga (sort of pun intended). It's wily, free-spirited and adventurous. There's a massive abundance of native (Finnish?) folk instrumentation (I swear I know there's a name for this brand of folk gahhh what is it?) that is paired excellently with romping drums and fun, wholesome guitar work. For whatever reason, this reminds me of well made video game music, namely (you guessed it) Legend of Zelda, but there's even an inkling of Undertale in there as well (7:20 ish. Look at me, completing half of this song review in parenthesis like a c u n t.) Every part of this song makes me think " fuck this is fantastic ass video game music " or " this better be in a fucking anime intro I swear". But no, this is better than that even. If the album is a saga, then this is the best fucking novel in it. 5/5

Land Diving-Amannesis/Limerent
You were definitely correct, this segways perfectly. Hell, had you not old me I would've never known these were separate tracks. I adore the wholly separate moods this album dictates, starting off with a rather whimsical and off-kilter guitar picking, restrained cymbal crashing and that beautiful, melancholic keyboard/vocal duo. It's so mournful, so empty, and so beautiful. Of course, nothing gold can stay, and halfway through the track collapses into a schizophrenic shrieking mess. But with riffs. Cool, killer ass riffs. That
Solo.
Also that fucking ending.
-4.8/5.
