| Bloodshy's Epic Jukebox Pt. 1
♫ Put a coin in the Jukebox, pick an album. My Jukebox only likes to play an album once, so find something I haven't rated. Only one coin accepted at a time per person until 10 more coins have been added. Once you choose an album, I can't remove it, sorry. ♫ I put my own coins in whenever I want because it's my Jukebox. These DO register toward the 10-coin countdown until your turn to insert another coin. ♫ To listen to Bloodshy's Epic Jukebox Pt. 1, here's the Spotify playlist: ♫ https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5hqlOjEXcliowDC6VumvbC | 1 | | Liza Anne Bad Vacation

I definitely like it... but might have to listen again to see if it's a grower. | 8 | | Boris No

This album is pretty inconsistent. Can't say I like the punk parts. I'd recommend it to people who like doomy punk, though. Wait, what? | 9 | | Modern Color From The Leaves Of Your Garden

Is this going to be legit or comedy? Might hit the Jukebox on this one.

Eh, just a whole lot of hoopla. Too many solos because METAL and not enough songs for sexy dance time. | 15 | | Ways Away Ways Away
Jukebox malfunctioned, started playing this after Dines instead of going back to the top.
5.0
But what a pleasant surprise. This album is amazing. And the cover of Beach House's "Gila" actually does it justice. | 16 | | Entropy (AU) Denouement

Genius guitar work, great lyrics (prose/novel style), heavy as fuck, beautiful, unpredictable melodies that just make sense, great energy all around.
Very progressive, heavy metalcore.
MUST HEAR NOW. | 19 | | Windwaker Empire

This jukebox is a gold mine. Good melodies on this album, which has been uncommon for this style lately. | 20 | | Prison of Mirrors (ITA) De Ritualibus et Sacrificiis ad Serviendum Abysso
3.5
Sounded really cool, but an album this repetitive has no business being nearly an hour long. | 21 | | If I Were You Radiant Dark

High-quality metalcore, but nothing really memorable. | 22 | | Mikau PHANTOMa
3.5
An ambitious album, but it really falls flat considering the amount of effort it seems went into it. | 23 | | Morphiend Fiend

Outstanding harsh vocals, but the cleans were pretty awful. The album had a fresh sound, enjoyed it. | 24 | | Marissa Nadler For My Crimes

Great album. Some of the lyrics were repeated too much in a way that bothered me, but the rest was fantastic. | 25 | | Vespera A Fragile Seed

Very good album, reminiscent of trve cvlt nv metal at times. Catchy songs kinda. | 26 | | Amarionette [US] Sunset On This Generation

Great swan/ progressive metalcore, but a little whiny and nothing I'm itching to hear again. | 27 | | Blaqk Audio Beneath the Black Palms (Side A)

Inoffensive enough, especially considering it's a dated industrial sound, but there was nothing enjoyable about this either. | 28 | | Far Water & Solutions

Solid release. | 30 | | Underoath The Changing of Times

A trend-setting album for the genre, some serious heavy-hitting, memorable songs on this album. The songs are a bit hit-and-miss, though, which really brought down the overall album score for me. | 31 | | Panda Riot Infinity Maps
4.0
Nothing bad about this one. | 32 | | Weeping Hour Hunger and Thirst
TYMAN128
4.5
Had to listen to this a few times. The melodies aren't really that strong, but the artistry is through the roof. Electric, snappy guitar riffs and great intensity throughout. Reminds me a lot of my favorite album of the year so far, Lovelorn: Moon by Before I Turn. | 33 | | Celine Dion D'eux
FEDEX and/or LORDE
2.0
Celine Dion makes worse music than I expected. It's montage-in-80's-downtown-NYC trash. Her voice is spectacular and production is on point. The p.o. shit songs could have fared worse with another vocalist I guess. | 34 | | Vein Old Data In A New Machine Vol. 1
4.0
Starts off strong and slowly comes off the rails. | 35 | | Anni Rossi House of Rossi (Mixtape)
2.0
I was fully expecting to like this. Instead, I've found consistently off-tune vocals, cringey lyrics, odd and pretentious "samples" (they're recordings of herself that resemble samples), and somehow with all that, it's still boring. | 36 | | Madeline Kenney Sucker's Lunch
4.5
Perfect uses of reverb, great instrumental sounds, and the drudgingly consistent layering really makes this an essential drift album.
Edit: been jamming the fuck out of this album, may have to 5 it someday. | 37 | | Sweam Lounge Music for Cat People
4.0
Might bump this up, awesome album. Not that memorable so far, but I want it to be. | 38 | | Imperial Triumphant Alphaville

Really interesting, nice stuff. Sometimes feels gimmicky though. Like certain sounds are there just to be edgy or set them apart from the abundance of monotonous death metal. | 39 | | Hockey Dad Brain Candy
3.0
Cute alt rock. Enjoyed some of the songs. Some were grating. Never gonna listen again. Not sure how this album got on my Jukebox, actually. | 40 | | Good Tiger Raised in a Doomsday Cult

A couple spectacular songs in a sea of great. A good listen in any case, if only to enjoy the unique vocal stylings. | 41 | | Black Crown Initiate Violent Portraits of Doomed Escape

I enjoyed this on repeat for most of an entire day but ended up humming their old album afterward. I wanted to like this a bit more and gave it ample opportunity. | 42 | | The Microphones Microphones in 2020

One long song, and it got pretty old after about five minutes. He added distortion to the guitar for a few seconds, and I got my hopes up, but then it just went back to the same shit. It was okay, I guess. | 43 | | Emuness Open Wounds

Quality musicianship, songs could be a little more memorable to bump this rating up. | 44 | | Crosses Crosses

I'm pretty sure I heard this at one point, but now I can be positive. A good listen, as expected. Will have to spin a few more times to get all the juice out. | 45 | | Destroyer Kaputt
DEDEX
3.0
A lot of this fell flat for me. A jazzy, dancy post-punk album has to have some quality melodies to really excel, IMO. It has the right vibe, and didn't go anywhere. Then I got whiplash at the end of the album because I really loved "Song for America," and hated "Bay of Pigs" enough to skip the last half of it. And that was that. | 46 | | Ever Eden Illumine
CRXMATEO
5.0
Holy fuck. This ticks off everything I love in music. The vocals were sublime, and not in a way where his range was huge or his voice was unique... it was just perfect. I got goosebumps a handful of times, loved every minute, and then it ended abruptly at a 16-minute runtime. What. The. Fuck. I need more. | 47 | | Spangle call Lilli line PURPLE
JOHNNYOFTHEWELL
3.0
Right out of the gate, we were off to a bad start, because this album interrupted the best thing I've heard since #18. But I tried to get over that, and listen properly. Okay, yeah. A nice, refreshing sound. At first. Then it seemed repetitious and was much like trying to replace a hearty lunch with a tall glass of milk. And then the hunger grew while the milk became warm, and I had to choke down the last bit. | 48 | | Mellow Gang Adjourn
BUDGIE
4.5
Sonically, this album lies somewhere between Destroyer and Spangle call Lilli line. But it brightens up the bleak, without removing the melancholy. The fast pace and dragging vocals complement each other well, and the 80's-like electronic soundscapes flesh out the album well, in a very budgiecore way. | 49 | | Aristeia Demoralization Of The Luminary
4.0
Good shit, technically masterful, well-assembled progressive deathcore. I feel like it's lacking a bit of songwriting substance, though. | 50 | | Young Jesus Welcome to Conceptual Beach
2.5
Pretty sure the Sput charts were my recommendation for this. There's nothing really bad about it, but I have a very difficult time finding anything objectively superior about the album, as to explain why it's rated so highly. It's just not very good. It's music for the sake of making music, in a typical rock way. It sort of blends some post-rock into post-punk, which should make it more interesting, but nah. | 51 | | Ingested Where Only Gods May Tread
4.0
I liked it. The blackened vocals were nice, and the heaviest parts were my favorite. Some of it seemed a little dated, which held this back a bit for me. | 52 | | Mount Eerie A Crow Looked At Me
4.0
God, those lyrics are heavy. Can't even pick them up. | 53 | | Martin Grech Hush Mortal Core
4.5
This one's kind of an exciting journey. Was not expecting this style at all. It's like a post rock, alternative rock, progressive metal mix? Beautiful at parts, aggressive in others. | 54 | | Keleketla! Keleketla!
3.5
Another very fun album. I really thought I was going to hate this by the genre mashup, but it's pretty dang good. It would be great "waiting on hold" music to keep your mind off waiting. There's always something new and dancy going on. | 55 | | Tkay Maidza Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 2
3.5
This one's really hard to rate... very hit-and-miss. Some of the songs are pretty great, some of the lyrics are cringy. Her annunciation/rapping isn't the best on all the songs, but her singing is on point. I think we're going to have to do some math for this one. 3.5 + 3.0 + 2.5 + 4.0 + 3.5 + 4.0 + 2.5 + 4.5 = 27 || 27 / 8 = 3.4375 | 56 | | The Ruins Of Beverast / Almyrkvi Almyrkvi / The Ruins Of Beverast (Split)
4.5
I think I like the first half of this split with Al Murky more, but The Ruined Beverages half was pretty decent too. The overall dark, sinister mood blends from one band to the other well, but the rhythm really changes things up, even from the third to fourth song. I don't mind it, it keeps things interesting. The only thing I don't really care for on this album is the (snare?) drum on the last song. It's mixed pretty loud and drowns out a lot of the music. | 57 | | Karmacipher Introspectrum
4.0
Heavy on the brooding dissonance here. Each song has a lot of variation, yet somehow I have a hard time distinguishing one song from another. Good background jams. | 58 | | Lamp of Murmuur The Burning Spears Of Crimson Agony
2.5
Just the worst kind of black metal. There's little here to interest me, but I didn't find it offensive either. The interlude and outro were the best parts, I guess. | 59 | | Bob Dylan Rough and Rowdy Ways
3.5
I like Bob Dylan's voice a lot more on this album than from what I've heard on his older stuff. There's a lot less of that moaning and swaying. This album talks a lot about all the cool shit Bob's done in his life that makes it less of a tragedy that he's old now. His forced rhyming is actually pretty neat and intellectually pleasing. I kind of like this, but probably not enough to listen to it again... but I wouldn't be against it either. | 60 | | Illuminati Hotties FREE I.H: This Is Not the One...
4.0
Fun and catchy. Kind of too much for me sometimes though. It's better in bite-sized pieces. There's some pieces in here I can really sink my teeth into though. The lyrics in content/bedtime are really fun... frequent letdown is pretty sweet. IDK, this album makes me want more when I stop listening and want to stop when I start. | 61 | | Funeral Leech Death Meditation
3.5
Sonically good, but all the songs are very samey. Nothing stood out to me on this. | 62 | | Earth Groans Renovate
TYMAN128

Thoroughly enjoyable classic hardcore/metalcore. Great arrangements and variety, but the riffs and melodies don't strike me as very memorable upon first listen. | 63 | | Kidcrash Jokes
JOHNNYOFTHEWELL
3.5
Good instrumentation. Favorite parts were the post-rock style picking. Very pretty. I probably won't revisit this, but it was a good listen. | 64 | | Defeater Lost Ground
DEDEX
4.0
Another full-blooded post-hardcore act. This one has some nice breathing room in the songs that keeps it from becoming a white wall of sound. Seems like a grower too. | 65 | | Jawbox For Your Own Special Sweetheart
3.5
Post-hardcore from '94? Good grief. Pretty legit songs. I recognize "Savory" from a Deftones cover. If I'm being honest, I don't really like their sound nearly as much as I like the songs themselves. I don't think it has aged well. Feels dry. Some of the songs themselves are really good, though, and I like how the singer harmonizes. | 66 | | Bright Eyes Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was
4.5
My favorite Oberst since Wide Awake. Impeccable songwriting on this fucker. I really like the folky orchestral vibe. It doesn't even feel pretentious, which is a miracle for Oberst. Some of these melodies rely really heavily on the stringed instruments in the orchestra, just used like any other band would use synth. It gives it a really full sound. Other songs have surprising instrument choices that later on feel necessary to get that desired effect. Yeah I like this a lot. Such smart timeless tunes. | 67 | | Windvent Relief
CRXMATEO
4.5
Great lead guitar, vocalist's cleans remind me of the dude from Shields. It's not ground breaking or anything, but it's progressive metalcore done really well, so what more do you need in life? | 68 | | Invent Animate Stillworld
4.0
The harsh vocals are soooo good. The songs are pretty decent, though nothing really stood out to me. | 69 | | Widowspeak Plum
4.0
Mazzy Star, is that you? No... no. Good album. Surprisingly solid melodies on some of the songs. Some of the others are a little sjmplistic.. "Sure Thing" actually has an identical guitar riff to one I used to play in a shitty rock band I used to be in. And I didn't even know how to play guitar. Yeah. It's that simple. | 70 | | Powerman 5000 The Noble Rot
2.0
Polished and cringey. Too bad. | 71 | | Zella Day Where Does The Devil Hide
4.5
Catchy songs, but none are obnoxious earworms like on her last album. Her sound had matured a lot, not so sure about the lyrics though. I feel like she has a semi-decent LP somewhere in the studio that she trimmed up into an EP of really solid singles. | 72 | | Blake Rules Day Drinking In The Kiddie Pool
3.5
He's so hit and miss. He's such a try hard that he goes in and out of being humorous, then transitions to embarrassing, but sometimes kind of cool. He really needs to lean in to his humorous side consistently, and I think people would actually take him more seriously, oddly enough. | 73 | | Brigid Mae Power Head Above the Water
3.5
Some of these songs are killer, but she's not very good at the vocal acrobatics she puts herself through. | 74 | | Declan McKenna Zeros
4.5
I loved his last album so much. I don't think anything he will do in the future will ever live up to that 5.0, but this comes close. The hooks he writes are so piercing and memorable, definitely will be humming this one a lot. | 75 | | Elysian Fields Transience of Life
3.0
Mazzy, surely it's you this time? No... man, that's weird. ... So yeah, this is kind of a disappointing album after how much I remember liking Last Night On Earth. A couple decent songs. | 76 | | The Pineapple Thief Versions of the Truth
4.5
First listen was pretty good, but these guys get better every replay. Not sure why this album is rated so low... it seems like something anyone could enjoy. Straight forward song writing with hooks galore, and I love it. | 77 | | Behemoth And the Forests Dream Eternally
3.5
Pretty good black metal. It won't be in my rotation, but adding to my collection just in case. Waiting for the day Spotify lets me play all my albums on shuffle without a playlist. | 78 | | Rogue Aeon
4.5
Some of these riffs are so god damn slick, holy fuck. Simultaneously impressive and catchy, which doesn't happen too often. | 79 | | Fit for a King The Path
4.0
I'm not sure what all the hate is about on this album. Some of the heavy parts are really hollow, but others are done well. Some of the choruses are fantastic. I think I like their poppier side most. | 80 | | Into It. Over It. Figure
3.0
Kinda boring. When I first skimmed through it, it sounded like it was going to be great, but it's not. | 81 | | Dir En Grey Withering to Death
2.0
I guess I just can't get into these guys. They always sound like they're all playing different songs to the same rhythm. It all seems so out of place, matching the moods between instruments and vocals. Not good. | 82 | | Jambinai Différance
UZUMAKI
4.0
In and out of chaos, very much an album to experience, not casually listen to. It could do without the whatever- stringed- instruments that mimic a latex balloon squeal. Otherwise a fantastic album. | 83 | | Deftones Ohms
4.5
It's Deftones. I'm bummed that there are no memorable singles like "Hole In The Earth" or "Minerva" but on the other hand, there isn't a single weak song. It's a real grower. | 84 | | The Ocean Phanerozoic II: Mesozoic | Cenozoic
4.5
This album is so strong it's almost intimidating. They're doing everything right here, and I think this has 5/5 potential. | 85 | | Svalbard When I Die, Will I Get Better?
4.0
This is really good. The only thing I don't care for is the redundancy of the harsh vocals. The clean singing is really nice, I wish it was utilized a bit more. | 86 | | Gospel The Moon Is a Dead World
4.0
Good shit. | 87 | | Iress Flaw
4.5
This album sucked me in within the first few seconds. It's so good. Very much in the vein of Chelsea Wolfe or King Woman. Not sure if this is a grower or not,,, the album isn't very catchy, so maybe the subtle nuances of the melodies will come through when the album becomes more familiar. | 88 | | Kendrick Lamar To Pimp a Butterfly
3.0?
God damn this album is pretentious. Some of the songs are pretty decent, but a lot of it is a bit too avant-garde for me, in a jarring way. I can appreciate the experimental aspects of its unique sounds, but it really isn't up my alley. The song "Alright" slaps some serious cheeks, though. | 89 | | Inventure Sociopath
4.5
This album runs the full gamut of metalcore riffage. Monstrous technical riffs, droning atmospheric notes, open 0-0-0 deathcore rhythmic strumming.. It has it all. The vocals shouldn't be overlooked, though. The vocalist has quality singing and supreme growls. First listen was outstanding, but we'll see how the replay value fairs. | 90 | | Darko (US) Dethmask
4.0
This goes hard! Some of it feels like it's being heavy for the sake of being heavy, but they do it well. | 91 | | Anaal Nathrakh Endarkenment
4.0
I liked it. The dude has such unique vocals. I wish they'd experiment a bit more like I know they can, but it's still really good even if it's not blowing my mind from sound clips of machine guns. | 92 | | Jonsi Shiver
4.0
This was quite an enjoyable experience. It was much different from the last album I listened to from Jonsi (Go, which was ten years ago already). The electronic use of sounds is at the forefront here, giving it a much less personal feel, but the melodies behind the occasional autotune were quite lovely. | 93 | | Eartheater Phoenix: Flames Are Dew Upon My Skin
4.0
This feels kind of like an EP, because so much of this is interlude between the really fantastic songs. The interlude feel to this album doesn't really add to the music for me, just delays the enjoyment. I realize the point of the album is to have a brooding, unnerving feel, sandwiching the lulling choruses, but I would have to simultaneously be in two different moods to enjoy both portions of it. Would have been a 4.5 if slimmed down, I think. | 94 | | Teenanger Good Time
3.5
The riffs are fantastic here, but the vocal melodies seem to have little thought put into them. The title track, "Good Time," is the only song I really loved on the album. | 95 | | The Wytches Three Mile Ditch
4.5
This album was well worth the wait. It's alternative rock with a post-punk influence to it that makes it a little gritty, a little moody. I would put it somewhere in the middle between The Trail Of Dead and Bauhaus. These songs are all killer. I doubt too many people will be disappointed with this release. | 96 | | Sumac May You Be Held
3.0
This wasn't even worth my time to search for them on Google. Bandcamp delivered the goods, but it was barely good. It's an epic journey of an album, but somehow it takes me to all the boring places. It's just lacking a lot of substance, in exchange for its vast experimentation. | 97 | | Meshuggah Catch Thirty-Three
4.5
I wasn't sure about this until about halfway through the album. I got used to the repetitive nature of the djenty guitar riffs enough to hear the differences that are actually present. I really love how the album plays as one long song, but they split it up into 13 song titles for clarity. Okay, now that I think about this more, I'm not sure if the songs kept getting better toward the back half of the album, or if I just started enjoying the band a lot more halfway through. Will have to listen again. | 98 | | Dog Fashion Disco Erotic Massage (Redux)
PORCUPINETHEATER
3.5
It's hard not to tap your foot to this album! It's really great for what it is, but it's a lot cheesier than I remember it being. | 99 | | Death Grips The Money Store
4.0
This one might get a lot of attention since I don't know of many artists that sound like this. Good stuff. | 100 | | Toundra Das Cabinet Des Dr. Caligari

Pretty much a flawless album, but it still didn't blow my mind or anything. Very good! | |

08.19.20 | after weeks of having Ways Away stuck in my head, i finally bumped it to a 5.
working on a spotify playlist for this list. i'm not supposed to be on my phone at work, so i can't go visit sputnik to find out what to listen to next. so a playlist will make it much easier to get through this list while i'm getting paid to do real life.
will share link on here, just in case anyone is interested. | bloodshy
08.20.20 | Does anyone else try to make it a point to listen to the entire Sput top 200 for the year? | dedex

update: most of the jukebox has been played through. that playlist definitely was a good idea, not sure why i didn't do it sooner | Uzumaki
08.21.20 | Sweet to see the 4.5, man. Glad you liked it. | JohnnyoftheWell
08.21.20 | horrendous takes, gonna jam 46 and work out what has gone wrong here. i fix you one of the best chillout jams you will ever hear (+ dedex fixes another) and you snub them both for middle of the road budgiecore smdh | JohnnyoftheWell

y i k e s | bloodshy
08.21.20 | The heart wants what the heart wants. | JohnnyoftheWell
08.21.20 | Not a good attitude to maintaining healthy blood pressure!! | bloodshy
08.21.20 | I just ate some carrots, all better.
I'll skim through the album real quick to see if I was too hasty. But I'm pretty sure I remember not being able to differentiate one song from the next for way too long. | JohnnyoftheWell
08.21.20 | Okay this is good (they all merge because it's, uh, a perfect mood piece), but skipping the final 4 minutes of Bay of Pigs is a next-level crime | bloodshy
08.21.20 | Alright, so I think the main issue I have with Purple is the vocals being too randomly placed. I do not follow the melody at all. So it's just a vocal jazz bass to me, which I really don't like the unstructured formula of jazz to begin with.
Then the background music just repeats lovely instruments in a way that strikes me as royalty-free YouTube style.
And I'm not finishing Bay of Pigs because fuck the police. | tyman128
08.21.20 | dude, it's awesome to see you liked Ever Eden! Never really got into them much, but I can see the appeal for sure haha
Gonna give you another one because I wanna see if this touches on your preference at all
Empty - Hope and the Loss of It | Crxmateo
08.21.20 | Hahaha I'm so glad you liked Ever Eden. It's a great ep. They're super nice guys too. They're working on new music so hopefully we'll get a follow-up sooner rather than later. | JohnnyoftheWell
08.21.20 | Gonna do an earnest discourse because this thread makes me feel bad for being snarky ;] I'm not what kind of expectations you have for what vocals generally are supposed to 'do' or what patterns they are better off following, but the imo the vocal lines in, say, Rio, Sea and Shell For Mew (all contenders for the best track) are pretty easy to follow and pretty much the lead component to the arrangement (Early Monsoon ig is the clearest example, but that doesn't represent the rest of the album as well).
I'd also say that the more evasive vocal melodies in, idk, Cast a Spell on Her and A Portrait are a large part of what gives that album a depth beyond your classic royalty-free jams. I acc think that's a fair comparison to an extent, because the objective for a lot of that music is to capture a similar aesthetic to this without any of the emotional weight for ease of consumption. The overall tone on Purple is too melancholic and (subjective hat on) richly atmospheric to have that kinda interchangeable connotation pinned on it. There's most defo a lot of misnamed "lo-fi" backing tracks that sound like Nm, but I'd say that track's tones (bass esp) are presented more emphatically than stuff in ballpark; that isn't the kind of bassline that gives you a window to lean back and tune out to what you're hearing
"And I'm not finishing Bay of Pigs because fuck the police."
Hehe | budgie
08.21.20 | you didnt added my other recs? 8( | bloodshy
08.21.20 | @tyman, I've already heard that album. Had to skim through quick to see why I gave it a 4 when I remember loving it... turns out I only love the first three songs. Definitely my style though.
@crxmateo God I hope so. I can only play an album on repeat for so long.
@johnny[w] I see why you dig it, for sure, especially when you explain it. I guess it's just not for me. | bloodshy
08.21.20 | There are rules, Budgie! Which -one- should I add next? | tyman128
08.21.20 | oh sick! Then I'll give you something else
Earth Groans - Renovate | JohnnyoftheWell
08.21.20 | Ooo is it new rec time? | bloodshy
08.21.20 | Yeah, if there are ten albums after your rec, it's your turn again. | JohnnyoftheWell
08.21.20 | Okay lol, can't think of anything super specific so I guess Kidcrash - Jokes should be an easy treat for you | bloodshy
08.21.20 | All recs updated.
For the record, I don't have to enjoy anyone's particular recommendations to enjoy the process of getting them. I love seeing what you all choose for me (Celine Dion wtf), and sometimes it's fun to not like something or even hate it. Like Harry Potter jelly beans.
So know even if I shit on your rec, I had fun and hope you all do too. | dedex
08.21.20 | "hated "Bay of Pigs" enough to skip the last half of it"

08.27.20 | Putting this Jukebox on hold for a bit while I do the Continental Tournament. There's still plenty of room for contestants in that tournament if you haven't joined in over there! | bloodshy
10.03.20 | Jukebox is open for three more recs. I haven't gotten to the old recs yet, but meh. At least I don't need to look for any new music for a while. | porcupinetheater
10.03.20 | Oh wow! Just got to flipping through all the LPs, and this jukebox has it!
Major Parkinson - Blackbox
What a cool thing! | bloodshy
10.03.20 | Already heard that album, many times. In fact, bumping Black Box to a 5. Forgot to do that from a few months ago when I was like, yeah, this has become one of my favorites. It's so good. | porcupinetheater
10.03.20 | Oh shit, nice! One of my favorites last several years. Did you catch the live show stream they did back in spring at the Library? | bloodshy
10.03.20 | Nope. I don't think so anyway, certainly not live. Watched a couple of weird YouTube videos though. Mostly old stuff that doesn't jam as hard. | porcupinetheater
10.03.20 | It was fucking great, acoustic set, mainly just violin, piano, and drums. They just reuploaded a video for Beaks of Benevola from it on YouTube, hoping it’s a sign that they’ll be releasing the full show. Fucking absolutely killer | bloodshy
10.03.20 | Nice. Will check.
I listened to lots of samples of this shit before adding it to my playlist and I think The Wytches might be up your alley. Not sure if the album is good as a whole, but seems promising. | porcupinetheater
10.03.20 | Hell yeah, thanks for the heads up! I’ll give ‘em a listen tomorrow, always ‘preciate the rec.
Also just want to have something on the Jukebox ‘fore the opportunity leaves, didn’t see ‘em in your ratings already, gonna drop the 2017 Dog Fashion Disco - Erotic Massage redux | bloodshy
10.03.20 | I remember hearing "9-5 At The Morgue" from ages ago. I still hum it every now and then because I work 9-5 at my job. This will be a fun listen I'm sure. | bloodshy
10.03.20 | I guess The Wytches pushed back their full release until October 30th, so only four singles so far. | budgie
10.03.20 | pls rename this thread to bloodyshy's epic buttbox | bloodshy
10.03.20 | Because it's full of shit? If that's not the joke I don't get it. | JohnnyoftheWell
10.03.20 | lol butts | bloodshy
10.03.20 | Butts are nice. | budgie
10.03.20 | rename it or johnny will | JohnnyoftheWell
10.03.20 | um, yeah ! | bloodshy
10.03.20 | Because butt cracks are called coin slots and the jukebox has coins... | bloodshy
11.19.20 | 15 albums left before I start a part 2. | bloodshy
11.20.20 | Well, I'm nearing the end here, so I've posted part 2 for anyone who's still interested in giving another rec.
