I noticed the forums are gone completely. I read something about a hack almost a year ago, and the forums were taken down in the aftermath? Sounds like an interesting story. I'm wondering how the lack of forums changes the social aspect. Do people make lists like they're forum threads, and comment on lists as if they're replies? While writing this list I somehow got redirected to some link that had "sexualpartner5" in it. Just like old times.
I noticed that I rated some albums that I have exactly zero memory of listening to. It feels like a snapshot of where I was right around the time the pandemic started. I really thought 2020 was going to be my year, but I saw everything crumble. My family was torn apart by my father. I was stuck in dead-end jobs. My entire life was in a state of flux that is rearing its ugly head again, now that my current job feels in danger.
How's Jom? Did Deviant. ever make another comeback? How's butcherboy? Did anyone else die while I was gone? | |

I had the same experience when I logged back in here after like 7 years of absence. I even had albums 5'd that I didn't remember at all. I deleted a ton of my ratings to start semi-fresh.
Anyway, welcome back! The main way the destruction of the forums impacted the site is that nobody can create a new account anymore, so make sure to write your password in your will, or tattoo it on your forehead. | EphemeralEternity
