| Best metal/electronic crossovers
After admitting earlier that I couldn't think of a great deal, I'm looking for recs that combine the two - not really anything overly industrial, but metal that makes good use of synths and squelchy basses, it feels like it should be more of a thing.
List is digs, but needs to be in better company.
PS. NO CHUGCHUGWOB | 1 | | Beyond All Recognition Drop=Dead
Pretty decently mixed dubstep w/ deathcore, if not REALLY my tastes. | 2 | | Animals As Leaders Weightless
Big fan of these guys anyway and I know this album doesn't get a lot of love comparatively, but the glitchy stuff really works for me. | 3 | | Enter Shikari The Mindsweep
OK, not technically metal, but I've always loved how they get the balance decent without ever getting TOO cheesy. | 4 | | Crossfaith The Dream, The Space
Only really got into them via their 'Omen' cover. But digging this lots. | 5 | | Arsonists Get All the Girls The Game Of Life
Again a little too death-y for my tastes but really, REALLY well done. | |

09.04.15 | Have at it, Sputters. | MercuryToHell
09.04.15 | Also, I know I'm really clutching at straws that may not exist here, but instrumental would be awesome. | oltnabrick
09.04.15 | The Algorithm - "Polymorphic Code" (it sucks but you would probably like it)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwG97ah0mEU | MercuryToHell
09.04.15 | Of course, forgot to add that to my digs, fucking AWESOME record! | Angelboros
09.04.15 | AGATG has one of the dumbest band names ever imagined, but I do enjoy them every once in a blue moon.
Since you enjoyed 4, you might also dig Fear, And Loathing in Las Vegas. Check All That We Have Now in particular, though Phase 2 also has its fair share of jams. | MeatSalad
09.04.15 | Horse the band - desperate living
Genghis tron - board up the house | MercuryToHell
09.04.15 | Ah man I forgot HTB, I used to dig them as a teen, need to revisit!
Just having a look at Fear + Loathing... | Royl123
09.04.15 | Nine inch nails maybe? | DanielNightLewis
09.04.15 | Original list lacking Genghis Tron is a crime!
Cutting Pink With Knives are really fun. | Avagantamos
09.04.15 | genghis tron is essential | MercuryToHell
09.04.15 | I only owned 'Dead Mountain Mouth' before making this list.
I have failed as a human.
Will definitely check out Cutting Pink... as well, I like that band name. | bloc

09.06.15 | I'm really digging Fear, And Loathing...
Checking out a LOT of these recs, thanks guys! | Valkyrion
09.06.15 | metal and electronics general do not go well
unless you are including shit like ambient / black metal crossovers | MercuryToHell
09.06.15 | I dunno, I guess because I always grew up on both genres I've always wanted to find a decent mash - it's just a shame so much of it sounds so awkward and forced... | Valkyrion
09.06.15 | I've given up very early on my quest to finding good crossovers myself, when almost everything is trash it's just not worth it. | Ocean of Noise
09.06.15 | Korn - The Path of Totality
lololol | someguest
09.06.15 | "metal and electronics general do not go well
unless you are including shit like ambient / black metal crossovers"
lol | MercuryToHell
09.06.15 | I'm gonna come out in defence of The Path of Totality.
It has zero substance, but no less so than any other KoRn album, but I just found it quite fun. |
