12.21.16 | Under the Moon, under the trees.
Into the Infinity of Darkness,
beyond the light of a new day,
into the frozen nature chilly,
beyond the warmth of the dying Sun.
Hear the whispering of the wind,
the Shadows calling... |

12.21.16 | listening to 4 for the first time right now. |
Sevengill
12.21.16 | 5, 8, and 9 are inspired by Paysage, 7 is great if you love Nattens Madrigal, and 10 is full of huge riffs and some deathiness.
Looks like you 5'd Nattens so start with Eismalsott, then go to Hoth. |
zaruyache
12.21.16 | also Storm of the Light's Bannnnnnne. |
Sevengill
12.21.16 | listening to that one again because it's never gotten its teeth into me
possbily because I harbor personal reservations about Jon Nodtveidt |
Sevengill
12.21.16 | yeah the leads in this are gorgeous. many of them sound harmonized, which must have been immensely hard to pull off. |
Egarran
12.21.16 | Dismal Euphony - Soria Moria Slott.
Too much keyboard and lousy production, but there is beautiful frost.

12.21.16 | Great picks. 2 and 3 are among my favorites as well. If I had to choose my favorite winter album it would be Theatre of Tragedy - Velvet Darkness They Fear which is also one of my all-time faves overall. |
zaruyache
12.21.16 | "reservations about Jon Nodtveidt"
he was objectively worse than Varg imo, but varg didn't have the decency to sort-of-mostly repent afterward and then off himself... so I don't feel as bad saying nice things about his music. |
DungeonBoy
12.21.16 | Just finished the first track of 4, and I'm super impressed. Isn't this a user project? It's like atmospheric black metal meets funeral doom. At first I was worried it was gonna be "too" doomy, but it's very versatile and the dynamics really pull you along. Kinda reminds me of Mare Cognitum at times. The drums sound like they might be programmed. |
zaruyache
12.21.16 | it's Noctus's and "atmospheric black metal meets funeral doom" is basically what he called it. |
Sevengill
12.21.16 | yeah 4 is DarkNoctus' album. definitely my favorite user project.
edit: dammit zar |

Cool, they all sound very appealing, if 7 is even remotely Nattens-y or Madrigal-y I will be very happy. Cover rules for it too. |
