Summer Playlist Of 2014
List of songs I listened to this summer. |
1 | Black Flag Nervous Breakdown
Pure hardcore for bored and pissed off children. |
2 | Blitzkid The Trunk
Not one of their best songs, but wins for nostalgia value alone. |
3 | Nirvana You Know You're Right
See above. Also got me back into Nirvana. |
4 | Coheed and Cambria Blood Red Summer
One of their more "pop punk" songs, and I usually prefer their "progressive" stuff,
but this is simply a perfect little pop nugget. |
5 | Public Image Ltd. Rise
Dat chorus. |
6 | Rites of Spring All Through A Life |
7 | The Smiths This Charming Man
See profile name. |
8 | Joy Division Transmission
I always preferred the fast-paced Joy Division songs, but I still love all of their work. |
9 | Sunny Day Real Estate Friday
Wish I had a reason for this one. Just a nice tune. |
10 | Earl Sweatshirt Whoa
I normally listen to more rap music than this, but this was just a song I needed to
hear in my new giant house. |
11 | Death Grips I Want It I Need It (Death Heated)
The Pink Floyd sampling is amazing here. Exmilitary may be my favorite by them. |
12 | The Cramps The Way I Walk
I had never really listened to this band before. Shame. Awesome singer and dual
guitarists. |
13 | The Dead Milkmen Punk Rock Girl
This is me and my girl's song. |
14 | Dead Kennedys Halloween
Making a song about being yourself without being cheesy as hell. |
15 | Against Me! Eight Full Hours of Sleep
Tell me that you listened to this song and do not feel any ounce of passion or
emotion in the music. Try to tell me that with a straight face. |
