03.21.14 | "Influential Indie Bands." |
Trebor.
03.21.14 | >influential
>obscure
not a lot of crossover there typically, unless it's shit like Big Black which isn't exactly the same genre but influenced a lot of indie musicians

03.21.14 | basically I should clarify, I know a good number of Indie Rock musicians who you'll be like to them, oh yr band is ripping off this band, and they'll be like nahhh we're totally ripping of these guys who are like a less well known version who did it first, I'm trying to discover more of these kinda bands, because all the ones I've been recommended so far, their records slay pretty much everything ever.
This is a pretty long shot, butt yeah, shoot if you have anything.

thats a load of bullshit tbh |
Trebor.
03.21.14 | Chances are a lesser known band is going to influence less people because less people will have heard them |

03.21.14 | "Chances are a lesser known band is going to influence less people because less people will have heard them"
thats not what you said before though, you said that there are barely any 'obscure' influential artists which is a load of bullshit. look at all the obscure genres. every band in those genres are influenced by obscure bands. |
MisterTornado
03.21.14 | It depends on what your definition of influential is and to what degree warrants a band being called influential. For example to the mainstream a guy like James Ferraro is extremely obscure, but within his circle he's been hugely influential. |
