The only game I have that I KNOW I'm getting when it comes out is RE7. I haven't even bought FFXV... though I've been hearing good things and might pick it up.

DinosaurJones 01.13.17	Nickel and diming is the worst. Ever since the start of DLC, developers know they can get away with that bullshit. The worst is getting a game that has locked content ON-DISC that can't be accessed because it's being saved for DLC. Worse is games that are placed into early access, and then nothing comes of it. I know it's let the buyer beware, but after being extremely hyped for and buying DayZ standalone, I know I was burned by that one for sure.

Chortles 01.13.17	looks cool, i don't think they did an amazing job at the conference but it was still fun to watch odyssey got my hyped even though the "real world" portion looked really stupid lol, breath of the wild looks amazing but it's kind of worrying that it's dual released on switch and wii-u. arms and splatoon look cool as well, but other than that there was no meat to it at all. i can see myself getting one somewhere down the line when everything is way cheaper but i'm in no rush

Keyblade 01.13.17	idk about yall but I thought double dash was the slowest in the series, with the weakest overall tracks. it was really fun tho, especially the bomb battles which they looked to have brought back at last Mk8 has the best tracks by far and is prolly the best complete package even if it's lacking in the mechanics department (which the deluxe version seems to be fixing)

The company is obviously going to push for this system to have as many good games as possible and be a success. Since the Wii U is essentially dead with the exception of a few upcoming games, it makes sense to preorder if you love Nintendo games and want something new. I don't even own a cell phone, so that 80-100$ a month that most people see as a necessity, is something I get to spend on random things on occasion with zero feeling of guilt because I know I budget correctly and don't spend recklessly.

What’s the difference between that and a console that you know you’ll enjoy based off of previous consoles by that company? I’ve never preordered a console and maybe did it once with a game, but it just doesn’t seem like a waste of money to me. People waste their money in so many other ways besides preordering. People throw money at Kickstarters without any true idea of what kind of product they’ll get. That seems like an even bigger risk to me. It’s not like I’m all about preorders, but it’s hard to imagine Nintendo not giving customers their money’s worth. I totally get what you mean about companies not “earning” your money through preordering, but Nintendo has been around for a while. You’re not really wasting money if you’re satisfied with what they’ve done in the past. As for the cell phone question, I had a throwaway phone that broke and didn’t get another just because I can plan stuff ahead of time through internet messaging and such. If you have a landline, you can pretend like it's a cellphone you forget to bring out with you every time you go out. Haha. I don't know. It's just not a big deal to me

" You're getting The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild at launch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in April, Splatoon 2 in Summer, Mario Odyssey in Holiday and it is confirmed that Xenoblade 2 and Fire Emblem Warriors are holiday 2017. That's a better exclusive line up than Xbox and is basically just as good as Wii U's 2014 line up. The line up is great, the problem is that if there isn't third party support then it's a weak first year. If we don't get third party support than once again we'll have a year of great exclusive, with a drought of a month or two inbetween game releases. That's not as bad as Wii U' first year but it's still not great either. And yeah...Xenoblade 2's art style is terrible. People only like it because the "faces look more detailed", but if they made Xenoblade X 2 with the same art style and more attention to faces...the game would look much better than Xenoblade 2 does. Xenoblade 2 looks weird...like I like anime and all but the art style looks like plastic dolls.
talktothehead 01.14.17	Also the Switch has an infinitely better launch line up than the PS4, Xbox one, or Wii U. The real reason people are complaining is because the only big game at launch is a game we've known about since Gamescom 2014. Doesn't change the fact that the launch is better...I just hope they get a few big games(Ghost recon, battlefront, overwatch, etc) to help some of those gaps. The third party sections were terrible. Oh and Monster Hunter being an exclusive - very unlikely. Possibly true for Shin Megami as well.
