08.21.14 | If you had to put 'Lost Tapes' in here, where would you rank it? |
thestop5
08.21.14 | @PappyMason I admittedly haven't taken the time to listen to it. You'll see in my "My Profile" that I
recently finished Nas discography. It's not a studio LP from what I understand so I didn't think I
needed to listen to it before making this list. |

08.21.14 | Yeh, its pretty good, you should check it out.
I've only got half of Nas' albums. 1 is 1 (obviously), and pretty much agree with your ranking with the ones I have. Street's Disciple has some good songs on it, but I really don't know why he decided to make it a double album, especially when he's has struggled to record an album full of solid material since Illmatic.
I need to get Stillmatic though. Is it considerably better then 'It Was Written' in your opinion? |
thestop5
08.21.14 | @PappyMason I dont think Nas has struggled to make solid material since Illmatic what so ever. I mean he hasn't made another
album as good as Illmatic, but in my opinion it is the greatest rap album of all time. STILLmatic is a damn near 5/5 to me except for
it has one terrible track titled "Braveheart Party" |

08.21.14 | Nasty Nasir.
1 is 1 obvs, 4 had some good tracks. |

08.21.14 | @thestop5 That's what I mean, every Nas album I've heard since Illmatic has had some weaker tracks or issues with the beat selection. I like It Was A Written a lot, but the quality is not consistent. Still, it's got some great tunes. I'll give STILLmatic some proper listens.
I agree that Illmatic is the goat. Its unbelievably good. |
