04.04.24 | I linked example songs, mostly music videos, for each release. For most of these releases I also wrote soundoffs (and Canvas got a review) for your consideration. Didn't want to clog the list up with them as this is supposed to serve an archival purpose.
Creating this list was quite the task. Not only did I listen to all of these releases, I also added almost all of them to the sputnik database (sorry) and ordered them by release date. I'm fairly confident this is a complete list excluding singles, do point it out to me if I have missed anything.

well i originally got into hololive in early september 2020, was in kind of a bore-out phase like so many people, i think i had just grinded out 100% on AC black flag and was looking for something else to get into. I knew about vtubers for years, mainly through the popularity of kizuna ai and viral clips but never actively started exploring until that september. i knew i was jumping into a rabbit hole. funnily enough that was a few days before the hololive EN branch with myth was announced, which pretty much single-handedly started the international vtuber boom. became a die-hard fan of myth and hololive, those few days and weeks and months after the myth debuts were a blur of extreme excitement, definitely changed my life. |

uh if you want to enter the rabbit hole but don't know where, i would suggest just looking for random hololive clips, watch a few and go from there, maybe you find someone you vibe with right away. |

07.24.24 | today marks the release of AZKi's new album Route If, her first full album in 4 years and also her major label debut. Can't wait to listen to it lots in the next few days, it seems very relaxing, aethereal and sweet so far. Really looking forward to her big concert accompanying this album release. |

07.26.24 | I also now added AZKi's Pages EP from 15th of Nov. 2022 which I had previously overlooked because it wasn't listed on rym. Might be because it was a very limited release and comprised of singles that AZKi had released previously over the span of 2022. Nonetheless, still an EP. Involved bumping the listed items below that EP one lower each which was quite the hassle to do on a laptop, so now I hope that there really isn't any other release I missed in the middle of this list lol

07.26.24 | and that brings us to 70 releases on this list! The next one should be callis new album, unless we get another surprise EP or album inbetween now and then, like Luis album recently. I wonder how many years it will take now until I get to 101 releases here and have to create another list for hololive lol. Im expecting the newer generations to slowly roll out EPs and albums aswell now, meaning ID, EN and JP gens regloss, holox and gen5 aswell. So release schedule should at least stay consistent, maybe even increase in frequency again. The first half of 2024 was relatively slow but its ramping up again now. Miko also recently announced her first album, which will release on september 25th. |

Shes definitely one of the most successful members in hololive in terms of music and so far purely coasted on a couple of extremely high quality singles with very impressively animated music videos. I think the release date was somewhere in october, very muvh looking forward to finally being able to add her to the sputnik database soon. |

There aren't any full albums that go into rock & metal because the members usually go for diverse releases but i did make a playlist of metal and metal adjacent hololive songs recently and it actually makes for a pretty good album experience.

08.18.24 | My most anticipated album of the year came out with calli's Phantomime and I am happy to report rhat it not only met my expectations but arguably exceeded them. Definitely her best album so far, on par with the quality of Jigoku 6 and possibly even becoming my favorite hololive album overall. Still have to listen to it on my proper wifi system cause I've once again been on tour. |

Her debut album basically just holds all her 7 singles released since 2021 plus one new song which makes the whole album 28 minutes long. Choco is definitely not one of the best singers in hololive and personally I don't care that much about her voice colour but the songs themselves are pretty fun. |

Still have to listen to it a couple times but my first impression is pretty decent, better than with choco's effort, at least. Still not really one of my favorite singers in hololive and her music style isn't really for me either. Her 2021 trance single was a banger though. |

10.16.24 | today marks the release date of the debut album of one of hololive's most popular members who is known for her single releases accompanied by extremely high quality music videos where marine pretty much spends a lot of her money to give back to her fans by producing those. This comes roughly a year after all her remaining genmates flare, pekora and noel all released their own debut albums. Now there is a lot on this album, bucking the trend of making album releases by hololive shorter and shorter, this one is almost an hour long. Over half of it are the aforementioned previously released songs, however. Not that big of an issue since pretty much every single of those songs are bangers and therefore it doesnt deminish the quality of the album by itself but that still means that overall the release of this is a bit less exciting than if we had gotten a whole album full of new songs from marine. but thats now how she rolls. its definitely cool to have all of her singles in a compact package now. im gonna spent the next few days to weeks checking out those new songs to come up with an overall rating. |

11.04.24 | Resident FPS lion Shishiro Botan just released a surprise EP which I am very excited about. Botan has a pretty unique voice and music taste within hololive, leaning more towards heavy and atmospheric electronic instrumentals while her voice is pretty light and almost angelic. The EP seems to be delivering that so far. |

Its indeed quite the mess and I still have to make heads or tails of it but the one thing I definitely know is that Revival is an awesome metal track which I already raved plenty about half a year ago when she debuted it at her 3DLive. |

01.19.25 | and here we are again, already gotten a new major release from holo in 2025 and from the legendary white fox fubuki no less. its another album that acts a lot as a container for her years old singles but there are a bit more new tracks on here then lets say on choco's or marines album. its not really my style once again, just too hyperactive. i do really like fubukis energy and voice though.
and since 2024 is over now we can look back on it and chart how much holo has released. sadly i cant find the numbers i wrote down for the previous years anymore and im currently to busy to count again so we'll have to do the comparison another time.
holo released 19 EPs and albums in 2024. 6 of those are EPs, and of the 13 albums released, 4 are group albums which makes the rest solo albums. 9 solo albums is a pretty good look i would say. |

looks like the number of releases has stabilized a little bit. With the prevalence of so many new singles for so many members in 2024 though i predict that a bunch more EPs and albums will follow those in 2025, keeping the number of releases steady into the future or even increasing them.
A lot of semi-musically inclined members have released solo albums by now though and I don't expect some of them to keep at it at that pace in 2025. At the same time there are a lot of new musical members still on the come-up. Of course the musical powerhouses will probably release something again in 2025 (suisei's new album already confirmed, calli will also have something cooking. I also expect releases from both dev_is groups aswell as from Elizabeth and Nerissa from EN. Kobo and Risu from ID also released enough singles by now that they could easily combine them into an EP. |

01.21.25 | alright the release of suisei's new album was way closer than I had realized. Its out now. The hype is palpable. Suisei has really blown up over 2024 mainly through the massive success of her single Bibbidiba which was seen over 100 million times in the span of like 8 months, propelling suisei not only to the top of hololive's musical artists (if she wasn't already at the top for years), not only to the top of vtuber artists in general but also fully into the japanese pop mainstream.
At this point I haven't listened through the album and am far from digesting it. I don't think it can get close to Still Still Stellar for me and I doubt she will ever again, for me at least, but ill try keeping an open mind about this more mainstream suisei. |

01.31.25 | And we got another surprise release at the end of the month here. Three full album releases in one month is quite impressive I'd say. So Polka is now the first out of NePoLaBo (Gen5 survivors) to release a full album and its quite the admireable one. There are no old singles to be found here, its completely new material and at 29 minutes also quite brisk. Thats commendable, especially with some of the last releases from choco, marine and fubuki being either full of ancient singles or overlong or both. The music on Filmy Funny is not really my jam and I will probably not return to it much aside from a few songs I will most likely still form an attachment to. Her voice is an aquired taste when she sings in her usual energetic, animated style, and I dont particularly care for it myself, definitely prefer her more subdued sorrowful singing. |
