10 Bands/Albums with Under 20 Ratings You Must Hear

I think it goes without saying that some great works of music are sometimes overlooked in the rrrrrstorm anticipated releases and other circumstances. Here are just a few gems with less than 20 rrrrrrating that need more recognition.
1Colosseum (Fin)
Chapter I: Delirium

Finnish Funeral Doom with a crushing and extremely depressive sound, even when
compared to other funeral doom albums
2Corrections House
Last City Zero

Industrial / Noise supergroup including Scott Kelly of Neurosis and Mike IX Williams of
Eyehategod. These guys create an abrasive and bleak atmosphere paired up with
some thoughtful lyricism
3Horn of The Rhino
Summoning Deliverance

Sludge / Doom Metal band with aggressive riffs and relentlessly heavy
instrumentation. The group's vocalist keeps things interesting by sometimes using clean
vocals similar to those seen on grudge bands, more specifically Soundgarden. Think of
these guys as High on Fire at half speed.
4Spectral Lore

Phenomenal Black Metal project that produces a distinct and layered atmosphere by
alternating between an aurally vast style of black metal and immersive folk tinged ambient
Dangerous Days

French electronic artist that creates music in a style that is heavy on synths and is a
nostalgic throwback to the 80's. You may have heard some of his work on the game
Hotline Miami

Blackened Death Metal band that I haven't stopped talking about for the last 2 or 3
months. I guess this is cutting the term "overlooked" a bit close, but this is a must hear
for any death metal fan out there. Dark atmosphere and insane riffs await.
7Mare Cognitum
An Extraconscious Lucidity

Space themed Atmospheric Black Metal project. Combines both ambient and traditional
black metal elements. A thank you to Amphoteric for introducing me to this band
8Pagan Altar
The Lords Of Hypocrisy

Traditional Heavy/ Doom Metal that in my opinion demonstrates how to execute so called "Sabbath Worship" right. A perfect mix of
both traditional and intuitive songwriting, not to mention the district vocals.
9Metroid Metal
Varia Suite

Band that plays metal renditions of themes and tunes from games of the Metroid
Agents of Power

Traditional / Heavy Metal band that riffs hard even while playing in a very familiar style of heavy metal that we all are used to or
have heard before.
