The Game Ranked

The Game is an underrated rapper, you have to listen to his entire discography to really appreciate him to the fullest. These are his best albums ranked in my opinion, although anyone trying to get into him should really just listen to all of his albums (except Blood Moon: Year of the Wolf) chronologically.
9The Game
Year of the Wolf

Trash album he released to escape Interscope Records contract.
8The Game
Streets of Compton

Only heard this once, not sure this is even an LP, not a good album but a few good tracks.
7The Game
Jesus Piece

One of his best sounding albums, but the entire concept behind this album was a mess. He wanted to 'get high, fuck strippers and still be religious.' There's a lot of skill on this album, in fact this is Game's highest skilled rapping hitherto, but it's basically all wasted on a dumb overall theme.
6The Game
LAX

A really emotional album that is severely held back by grating hooks and one or two bad tracks. If you can appreciate good verses with bad hooks, this album is superb... but at first it simply sounds awful, and some of these hooks never get better not matter how long you listen.
5The Game
The R.E.D. Album

Probably Game's most underrated album. He REDedicated himself to hip hop with this album after a three year hiatus and became far more lyrical than he was on his previous three albums. This album is held back by a few bad hooks and maybe one bad track, but overall, after repeated listens, is one of the best rap albums of 2011 easily.
4The Game
The Documentary

This album is all about revolutionary production and Game's energy as a rookie rapper, being surrounded by his childhood icons. It still is a borderline classic even after ten years, over which time Game has improved as a rapper dramatically. His honesty and his story, over perfect beats, is what makes this album amazing.
3The Game
The Documentary 2.5

The Game gets the perfect feature artists for this album, and he makes an album that is as meaningful as any rap album this decade. He evolves by intelligently dealing with political issues through hip hop. The Game doesn't get enough credit for keeping the ethos of 90s hip hop alive, and thats exactly what this album is all about.
2The Game
Doctor's Advocate

The Game was filled with motivation after being kicked out of G-Unit. This album has a type of rare me-against-the-world energy that is addictive and makes this album a classic. You can feel the connection Game has to his feature artists and producers who stuck with him throughout this rough span in his career. A very unique form of mainstream rap that shares many tenets with underground rap.
1The Game
The Documentary 2

Perfect production, witty raps, high energy without being obnoxious, great feature artists... this is everything you can ask from a rap album. Easily the most underrated album of 2015, one of the best albums in the last decade, hands down. Not everyone can fully appreciate this album, as it is for hardcore game fans primarily, but this is truly a masterpiece. Simply flawless.
