My Own Prison

first time liking "metal" music, not very inspiring but when something is new everything is inspiring at first
2Green Day
American Idiot

who doesn't remember those kids at school who wear black-white belts, spikey armbands and black hair? later they mostly dye it red at some time to be a "punk". this is what stood on their t-shirt.
3System of a Down

i must admit it. i listened to all of their albums when i was 14-16 and i liked them a lot. they aren't this bad either, just heard too much can't bear to hear it anymore.

cool at times, now it's more like guys wearing masks. though single songs are still hearable from time to time. at least i didn't like Korn or Limp Bizkit ;)
Without You I'm Nothing

they are unique, to say the least. nevertheless i feel like it's one of the bands you must either grown to love THAT much, that you still like them as an adult, or you lose the (major) interest.
The Art of Drowning

no particular reason here, i fear (lol!). just lost the contemporary fanboyship somewhen.
7Linkin Park
Hybrid Theory

if you fully become one of those music "expert", who reside at this fellow side at times, you have to see it that way. reality gives reason too: their music is most likely aimed at teens. though Mike Shinoda is a good singer, which would have made Chester employeeless, if he was allowed to.... (and average rapper).
Ocean Avenue

although the ideas with the violin may make it interesting to give a listen to from time to time, mostly this isn't nearly as fun as it was like >/

some may still enjoy it equal as much, but i just feel like the band has since then rather advanced in reverse directions, and so has the metal genre. may be fun to listen to when getting drunk though.
