02.20.19 | I guess I could try Kraftwerk's first 3 albums, but Trans Europa Express wasn't for me. |

02.20.19 | The first three Kraftwerk albums are absolutely nothing like prime-era Kraftwerk (Trans-Europe Express to Computer World). The self-titled and Ralf and Florian are great, Kraftwerk 2 kinda sucks though.

02.20.19 | Also for recommendation:
Neu!'s first three albums, although these are more in the realm of krautrock and proto-punk, especially on a lot of Neu! 75
Cluster is a big essential, as is Harmonia |

02.20.19 | Isn't Cluster kinda like Popol Vuh and Tangerine Dream, where it's very ambient? I'm not sure I'm really into the whole ambient thing.
And yeah I've been meaning to get into Neu! since I love Can and I know they're often compared |

02.20.19 | I've gotta check some of this out |
Frippertronics
02.20.19 | Cluster is in that weird realm of ambient/krautrock but the first two would be more your thing than the later stuff i.e. the Eno album, etc. |

02.20.19 | Nice! If you're impressed by 3, check Tom Dissevelt and Kid Baltan - The Fascinating World of Electronic Music (1959!!!)
Also:
Perrey-Kingsley - The In Sound from Way Out! (1966)
Cluster - Zuckerzeit (1974)
Cluster had ambient stuff early on but Zuckerzeit is not at all. It's basically instrumental proto-synth pop. |

02.20.19 | Another one I like to throw around is Tony McPhee's "The Hunt" (1973). Just skip to 3:30 and it legit sounds like techno.

02.20.19 | Joe Meek is a legend. Gonna check 1.
Try some Faust (especially the first album), more experimental rock than electronic.
Or The Residents' early stuff.
Or The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band - Part One, psychedelic rock (no samples, I think) but it's really nice with a FZ cover. |

02.20.19 | Haven't been in much of a rock mood lately |
