Temple Of The Dog Ranked

No one ever seems to talk about this album... it's great though.
10Temple of the Dog
Temple of the Dog

"Hunger Strike" Despite this being the biggest hit, Eddie Vedder drags this album
down more than anything else here. Luckily, Chris Cornell and a guitar solo
rescue the song at the end. 3/5

"Times of Trouble" A pretty decent song, but that's about it. It's a little forgettable and
not even close to being a standout. The guitar is pretty cool though. 3.5/5

"Wooden Jesus" Probably one of Vedder's best moments that I've heard (I've also
heard Ten Jam's first 3 albums...) He's pretty clear here and the lyrics are great. 4/5

"Four Walled World" Cornell is incredibly strong here and the music is excellent. This is
only at 7 because the other six manage to top it. 4.5/5

"Call Me a Dog" The lyrics here are really cool, and the guitar solo is pretty decent.
What really seals the deal here though, is the powerful as hell chorus and that sweet
ending. 4.5/5

"Say Hello 2 Heaven" An incredibly dramatic goodbye to Andy Wood.
Strong vocals, cool the guitar, and a depressing theme. Great opener. 4.5/5

"Reach Down" 11 minutes of awesome guitar, Chris Cornell wailing, and a sick bass
line? Yes please. 5/5

"Pushing Forward Back" A really strong leading riff, following by Cornell's powerful
vocals, with cool as hell lyrics. Not to mention, the bridge in this song is one of the
finest moments on the entire album. 5/5

"Your Saviour" Every single lyrics in this song is awesome. The guitar solo is sweet. It
just jams perfectly. Yet again, another epic bridge. Heyeyeyeyeyeyeyeh. 5/5

"All Night Thing" This song paints a depressing picture in the mind. Supposedly its a
description of Mother Love Bone's Andy Wood's last day on Earth. The organs and
drums work together to convey this mood of solemn regret. Certainly one of my
favorite songs ever. 5/5
