04.24.20 | i love how the old guard in the NFL is changing. Fucking good riddance. NFL will be sooooo much better and more interesting without Brady. Rodgers, Manning(x2), Roethlisberger, Brees and Rivers |

04.24.20 | stop packing em green fam
should i trade corona in round 1 or 2? and is peyton still playing? |
AlexKzillion
04.24.20 | Completely agreed Snake. I would have lost my mind if the Steelers did that. |
oWhoadYo
04.24.20 | no, neither Manning is playing, they're both retired. I just associate them with that era of QBs that everyone is sick of watching win all the time |
oWhoadYo
04.24.20 | @Alex - you don't want the Steelers to draft a QB?? Do you honestly think Big Ben has much football left in him? I'll be amazed if he gets through this year. |
AlexKzillion
04.24.20 | I don’t think Ben has much football left in him... prob a year or two at most. However, the Steelers aren’t far from serious contention at all, and if they can hit on some picks this year and stay healthy they can easily make a playoff run. I’d be fucking pissed if my team wasted a high pick on a QB while they’re in win now mode.
And in the Packers situation it’s even more exasperated because a) Rodgers is younger and better b) the Packers were literally one game away from the SB last season. Drafting a QB instead of someone the Packers need RIGHT NOW is pretty much waving the white flag on their current team and letting Rodgers know he’s off the team in two years. Not to mention Love isn’t even that great of a prospect. I’d be fucking livid if I was a Packers fan. |
oWhoadYo
04.24.20 | I think the Steelers are burying themselves in the ground. They've had the luxury of having an elite QB and lucking into two amazing head coaches back to back. Once that ends and you're forced to roll with Rudolph in a year, it's gonna be at least 3 years of awful football in Pittsburgh. You're gonna see the Ravens, Bills, and Chiefs dominate the AFC for the next few years, I think, because they built the correct way. Don't count out the Browns, Jets or Dolphins either. Lots of young talent on those teams.
Packers have been a ticking time bomb for years, glad to see them failing miserably. Time for some more exciting teams to start winning |
WatchItExplode
04.24.20 | I thought this was hilarious. I also strongly dislike the pack and Mr. Rodgers. |
AlexKzillion
04.24.20 | The Steelers just went 8-8 with the corpse of Mason Rudolph and a literal duck at QB lol I’m sure they’ll make it work when Ben leaves |
Trebor.
04.24.20 | check out Rodgers on pat macafee's show right before the pick it's wild |
Snake.
04.24.20 | wouldn't surprise me if the stillers drafted jalen hurts with their first pick tho
pittsburgh has too big of a winning culture to accept another 8-8 season |
AlexKzillion
04.24.20 | Rodgers was completely right too.
2nd year QB Lamar Jackson won MVP last year
2nd year QB Patrick Mahomes won MVP the year before
2nd year QB Carson Wentz nearly won MVP the year before that
If Love sits on the bench more than a year, he either sucks or the Packers are just gonna flush the flexibility they gain from Love’s rookie contract down the drain simply because they drafted a couple years too early
Like I’m having a really tough time finding a scenario in which this doesn’t completely blow up in the Packers face somehow. |
AlexKzillion
04.24.20 | If the Steelers draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round I’ll delete my account |

04.24.20 | Good, screw the fudge packers. |

04.24.20 | dude have you seen Rodgers play lately, he looks very old, not really his fault has had shit lines his whole career, I would give him 2 good years left |
AlexKzillion
04.24.20 | Old qbs win all the time |
Calc
04.24.20 | rodgers has 4 years max in him. The pick was probably a year or two too early and doing in in the first round is dumb but the team was literally squeaked out 5-6 wins by the hairs of their ass last year. The team wasn't very good but I hope they under performed instead of just suck |
Halfman
04.24.20 | i definitely agree it was not a smart move, but it's not worse than the bears trading up to take trubisky over mahomes and a proven player and championship winning deshaun watson |
Snake.
04.24.20 | iirc the 2017 draft was projected to be a really bad class for QBs so the bears trading up to get a QB in the first place (watson or not) was a dumb idea |
Satellite
04.24.20 | even if he's the next mahomes, i'm doubtful the packers' dumbfuck fanbase will ever embrace a nonwhite qb.

04.24.20 | Hell, maybe it'll somehow work out when all is said and done. But on the surface, the pick makes little to no sense, especially considering that he has 4 years left on his contract. I'm a Bills fan and we didn't have a first round pick cause we traded ours for Stefon Diggs, and I'm worried that he's going to get frustrated, seeing how inaccurate Josh Allen can be sometimes. I love the dude, but that's just facts. |
Uzumaki
04.24.20 | I’m withholding judgement on the Love pick for right now; I do agree, given Rodgers’ age and injury history, there’s not a whole lotta time with him left, but if the Packers don’t do anything with their next 2 picks to help him out then Love doesn’t matter, they will have fucked it up big time. |
Intothepit
04.24.20 | How was this not a smart move? You have a late first round pick and there's a QB with MAJOR potential sitting there and you have an agin QB? Let's face it, even in win now mode, the odds of hitting an immediate impact player that late in the first round is slim. So why not spend the pick on an insurance policy for the future? Your anger about this is really misguided.
And no, the Steelers aren't THAT close to contention. While Tomlin did an amazing job with this squad this season, he has a really bad habit of shooting himself in the foot. Big Ben can't stay healthy, they lack a serious offensive threat outside of Juju (I'm sorry, Connor is not the answer at RB), and a defense that has some major holes, especially in the defensive backfield. They are not contenders at all. They're a slightly above average team with a massively overrated coach and an aging, vulnerable QB |
DominionMM1
04.24.20 | “the team was literally squeaked out 5-6 wins by the hairs of their ass last year. The team wasn't very good but I hope they under performed instead of just suck”
yeah pretty much. they were more like a 10 win team when you look at dvoa and pythagorean win expectations. that’s why i’m not convinced that theyre just one player away from a super bowl. so the love pick wasnt too outlandish to me. |
Intothepit
04.24.20 | Let's also not forget that they are in a division where outside of Minnesota (and this is even a stretch), there's not much competition right now. Chicago has a lot of issues, especially with their QB, and well, do I really have to say anything about the Lions? |
AlexKzillion
04.24.20 | “and a defense that has some major holes, especially in the defensive backfield.”
You lost me there lol |
Intothepit
04.24.20 | Besides Fitzpatrick, who's back there then? Joe Haden? The guy had two good years with Cleveland and has been mediocre ever since. The only reason Haden made the pro bowl was due to the better replacements being in the Super Bowl |
AlexKzillion
04.24.20 | Haden and Steven Nelson both played at pro bowl levels on the outside last year... and Mike Hilton and Courtland Sutton are both very capable slot corners, with Sutton having the versatility to play on the outside as well. Literally the only hole is Edmunds but he’s a good tackler so w/e. |
Snake.
04.24.20 | tbf the packers can cut rodgers after 2021 and still only eat $5 mil in dead cap so if j-love pans out that's prob what they're gonna do
still a spineless move regardless |
Intothepit
04.24.20 | They played on an elite level because Fitzpatrick was the best damn safety in the NFL. Other than, everyone is mediocre or worse |
AlexKzillion
04.24.20 | Good players played at an even higher level due to the best player elevating them... more at 11 |
Intothepit
04.24.20 | I didnt say that at all. I said they played so well because Fitzpatrick is a monster. Take him away and they get thrown all over (which was proved the year before). He didn't elevate them. He made up for their mistakes on his own. It's easier to look like an elite corner when you have one of the top 2 or 3 safeties playing over the top. He hid all of their problems. Now after having a year of film, it won't happen again lol. |
Intothepit
04.24.20 | Like I said, MAJOR holes in the secondary that can't be hidden forever. |

04.24.20 | Is this gonna be like when the film gurus figured out how to neutralize Ed Reed and Earl Thomas after their first great seasons? |

pretty much this |
oWhoadYo
04.25.20 | So many steelers fans arent even from Pittsburgh or that area of PA. i dont get it. Why do you even like them? Im curious. Did they win a lot when you were a kid so you just decided to like them? Its just like the cowboys and patriots too, so many people all over the country just like them so they have a ton of "fans". Lol why not just like your local team? It doesn't make any sense to me. I'll never understand it. Just liking a team cus you decided to like them. You like your local team because you can be with the culture and the community of the team, the atmosphere of going to the games. I don't know, its just odd to me |

04.25.20 | the steelers/packers/cowboys blow yeah |
AlexKzillion
04.25.20 | I mean for the Steelers it’s pretty well documented... the steel industry collapse caused a lot of the Pittsburgh population to migrate elsewhere during/after the 70s dynasty and people kept their fandom because the team won.

04.25.20 | Not sure what's an oof about that. Bills are in a great position right now. Tons of talent on the roster, one of the very best defenses in the league, and an overall young roster. Poised to dominate the division this year. Plus, they've had a great offseason and draft thus far |
