| Just That One Song
These are albums that I would enjoy a lot more/find more cohesive if they rdidn't contain just one lesser-quality song. | 1 | | Justice Cross
Album is going great, with "DVNO" as its possible high peak, starts to lose some
energy with "Stress" and "Waters of Nazareth" (though still both great tracks), and
ends on "One Minute to Midnight", which sounds way too much like the structure of
"Nazareth" and ends the album on a too low-key note. | 2 | | Animal Collective Strawberry Jam
This would be AnCo's best work for me, if it were not for the repetitiveness of the
second half of "Derek". It just gets annoying after a while, and makes for another
album that ends on a duff note. | 3 | | Justin Timberlake FutureSex/LoveSounds
Between all the groundbreaking pop and R&B ballads, there's the "what-were-they-
thinking?" moment of "Losing My Way", a cheesy "don't do drugs" song that has
absolutely nothing to do with love or sex. | 4 | | Nine Inch Nails Pretty Hate Machine
This would turn out to be one of my favorite industrial albums, if it weren't for lyrics
like "I'm slipping on the tears that I cried". Seriously Trent, that moment is much
worse than you think the entirety of "Kinda I Want To" is. | 5 | | Green Day ?Uno!
Contrary to many Sputnikers' opinions, I find this to mostly be a fun throwback to
the band's 90's days, but "Rusty James" sounds way too similar to "Scattered" from
Nimrod, that I feel like the band is ripping themselves off. | 6 | | The Dandy Warhols Welcome to the Monkey House
Really dig the sound they were going for on this record, but "Insincere" screws up
the flow of the album and lacks any swagger the rest of the album almost makes
up for in spades. | 7 | | Muse Origin of Symmetry
Besides the fact that this is heavily front-loaded, this is another album that starts
excellently and then peters out towards the end. "Megalomania", while it may be a
well-written song, seems out of place as the closer to an album that includes such
hard-rocking tracks as "Plug in Baby" and "Citizen Erased". | 8 | | Queen The Miracle
Most assuredly one of Queen's better efforts, especially in the 80's. "My Baby Does
Me" still remains too cheesy for its own good. | 9 | | Vayden Children of Our Mistakes
Great alternative metal album, except for "Zoe's Song", which, while performed
emotionally, comes off as a cheesy emotional ballad and completely out of place
with the rest of the rawk featured here. | 10 | | Wolfmother Wolfmother
"Vagabond" would close the album perfectly (hello, 500 Days of Summer!), if it
were not for the minute-long random reverb noise tacked onto the end. | 11 | | The Killers Hot Fuss
"Everything Will Be Alright"? Really, Brandon Flowers, could you be any more
cliche? And do you have to repeat the chorus song title a million times? Otherwise,
we all know this would be considered one of the band's best. | 12 | | Kendrick Lamar good kid, m.A.A.d city
This one's a personal preference, but seeing as how I don't like the word "bitch"
being used in any context, I always skip "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe" when playing
this album through. | 13 | | Jimmy Eat World Clarity
Would be a classic alternative album, except even the first time I heard "Table for
Glasses", I thought, "this is boring as hell!". Way too slow a track to open an
inventive pop-punk album like this. | 14 | | Britney Spears Femme Fatale
Would stand as one of my favorite contemporary electropop albums (yes, I even
like "Big Fat Bass"), but Sabi's guest spot on "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" is so
laughably bad, it makes me question what Brit was really trying to do here. | 15 | | Beastie Boys Licensed to Ill
I must be the only person in the world who doesn't like "Girls", just because it's a
dated, cringeworthy novelty song in the middle of one of the best rap albums ever. | 16 | | Soundtrack Twilight Official Soundtrack
Despite the film that it's attached to, this is one of my favorite soundtracks, barring
R Pattz's "Never Think", in which he mumbles a bunch of meaningless drivel that no
one can decipher. | 17 | | System of a Down Hypnotize
Would stand as one of my favorite System albums, but we all know how lame the
lyrics to "Lonely Day" are. | 18 | | Band Album | 19 | | Band Album | 20 | | Band Album | |

05.12.14 | Table For Glasses is the third best song on Clarity | granitenotebook
07.26.14 | For number 12, you could just listen to the clean version ("Trick, Don't Kill My Vibe"). | Sabrutin
07.26.14 | I find "Lonely Day" pretty cool, tbh. |
