| Parkway Drive Ranked
Inspired to do this list after listening to their new album. Yikes. Let me know how you rank these albums. | 1 | | Parkway Drive Killing with a Smile
4/5 for me. Generic, but fun, metalcore. Seminal Parkway Drive.
Favourite Tracks:
Mutiny
Romance is Dead
Smoke 'Em if Ya Got 'Em
A Cold Day in Hell
The whole album basically | 2 | | Parkway Drive Horizons
Jam-packed full of sick melodic riffs.
Favourite Tracks:
Boneyards (my favourite Parkway song)
Carrion
Idols and Anchors
Breaking Point
Dead Man's Chest
Horizons | 3 | | Parkway Drive Deep Blue
At this point it was becoming obvious that they were running out of ideas, but still a solid album nonetheless.
Favourite Tracks:
Unrest
Deliver Me
Sleepwalker
Karma
Wreckage
Home is for the Heartless | 4 | | Parkway Drive Don't Close Your Eyes
A solid early EP, albeit a bit rough around the edges
Favourite Tracks:
Smoke 'Em if Ya Got 'Em
Dead Dreams (one of their best lesser known songs)
Flesh, Bone and Weakness
Swallowing Razorblades | 5 | | Parkway Drive Atlas
The first signs of the 'new' Parkway appearing, as they attempted to distance themselves from their metalcore sound. Despite the slight departure from their earlier sound, there is some great tracks on here.
Favourite Tracks:
Wild Eyes
Old Ghosts / New Regrets
Dark Days
The River | 6 | | Parkway Drive Ire
Winston's radical change of vocal style is an unwelcome change. In particular, those King 810-esque wispering vocals are awful.
Favourite Tracks:
Vice Grip?
Crushed
I dunno it's all very mediocre | 7 | | Parkway Drive Reverence
This album is a weak 2/5, but if you take out "Wishing Wells" and "In Blood" it's a 1/5. Some decent riffs of course, but the vocals and lyrics are awful.
Favourite Tracks:
Wishing Wells (only for the main riff)
The Void (it's ok)
In Blood (best track on the album IMHO, doesn't say much though) | |

05.06.18 | 3,4,5 can be pretty interchangeable in their ranking order, but 1 and 2 are 1 and 2, and 6 and 7 are 6 and 7. | SteakByrnes
05.06.18 | For me it goes 2 > 1 > 5 > 3 > 4
I don't even want to put the other two in the ranking | JeetJeet
05.06.18 | I like pretending they broke up after Deep Blue and someone made a clone of PWD that only nakes trash albums while the real PWD is retired and hanging out with kangaroos. | G0atC0re
05.06.18 | @JeetJeet Haha That's a good theory. | Middle18
05.06.18 | Really g0atc0re Atlas at 5? Always thought that was there original sound perfected. Horizons was the glossy metalcore record a bit too polished.
I for one liked Ire! They had no where else to go soundwise and thought they pulled it off quite well tho after hearing the new album I think they have lost it | splinter
05.06.18 | Horizons, KWAS, Deep Blue, Atlas |
