Chills & Goosebumps

Songs with moments of chilling glory, creepiness, or just overall powerful moments. Not gonna tell when the specific part is, because you should listen to the whole song to get the full effect.

Aenima

"H."

A very underrated song from an album that captures mysterious darkness perfectly. This song is the perfect embodiment of that theme. The final chorus is enough to give chills to just about anyone
14The Menzingers
On the Impossible Past

"Gates"

The chorus is so wonderful.
13Neurosis
Through Silver in Blood

"Locust Star"

The Bassist demonic vocals coupled with the heavy-as-fuck riff should be enough to take your breath away.
12Gorguts
Obscura

"Earthly Love"

Listen to it. Don't care if don' like DM, this will either turn you off from it forever or open your eyes to its greatness.
11Burzum
Filosofem

"Dunkelheit" (Burzum)

Possibly the most atmospheric song ever written. Nasty guitars and drums blaze at first, but when the synth comes in, nothing prepares you for the creeping coldness that comes over you.
10Brand New
The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

"Limosine"

Might be the best song ever, in terms of emotion at least. The whole song gives me chills all throughout.
9At the Drive-In
Relationship of Command

"Invalid Litter Dept."

A chilling song about drug cartels, prostitution and corruption south of the border, when the breakdown comes at the end of this song, its not expected at all and totally awesome.
8Iron Maiden
The Number of the Beast

"Hallowed be thy Name"

YEAAAAHHHH YEAAHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHH

HALLOWED BY THY NAME
7Candlemass
Epicus Doomicus Metallicus

"Crystal Ball"

The Solo here might be the best in doom metal, and one of the best in metal as a whole.
6Death
The Sound of Perseverance

"Spirit Crusher"

Riff after solo might be the best headbanging experience one can ever have.
5Weezer
Weezer

"Say It Ain't So"

THE SON IS DROWNING IN THE FLOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
4Third Eye Blind
Third Eye Blind

"Jumper"

Whole bridge section leading up to the final "Can you put the past away?"
3Mastodon
Leviathan

"Hearts Alive"

The 5 minute sequence of delicious riffs that continues to build and build to it's crushing climax.
2Deftones
White Pony

"Digital Bath"

Most of you know this one. Creepy stuff, considering the story of the song.
1Dissection
Storm of the Light's Bane

"Nights Blood"

"Those who never was born
but whose darkness eternally
devastated the goodness built up through milleniums
No time passed, our victory is eternal"
