| Thrash/death/prog albums that need more love
Some of these albums are hardly known, others don't have a review, still others just remain underappreciated. What they all deserve is some more recognition. | 1 | | Znowhite Act Of God
Nigga riffs harder than Kerry King, bitch has more balls than Angela Gossow. | 2 | | Slauter Xstroyes Winter Kill
A bridge from Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden & prog rock to Mastodon. In 1985 already. | 3 | | Atrocity Hallucinations
Todessehnsucht is their reference album, but this is the real thing. Far ahead of its time imo. | 4 | | Righteous Pigs Stress Related
Death/grind, irresistible and in your face. Mitch Harris at his best (1) | 5 | | Menace Impact Velocity
Beautiful and puzzling. Mitch Harris at his best (2) | 6 | | Symbyosis Crisis
Prog/tech/djent worth checking out. | 7 | | !T.O.O.H.! Order and Punishment
Pulls off a blend of punk, prog, tech, avant-garde, thrash & death with baffling ease. Refreshingly funny and insane. | 8 | | Realm Endless War
Simply too good & too little people know about it. | 9 | | Extol Synergy
Elusive, innovative, attractive, all in being undeniably thrash. Why this doesn't have mass following here is a mystery. | 10 | | Martyr Hopeless Hopes
The riffs never stop. More metalheads should hear this. | 11 | | Forte Stranger Than Fiction
Top-tier power thrash that shows how everything was truly better then than it is now. | |

02.19.18 | No doubt there'll be lots of other suggestions. | combustion07
02.19.18 | 1,3 and 8 are all amazing. Gonna have to jam the others. Good list | combustion07
02.20.18 | Damn Martyr is killing it. Riff overload | DePlazz
02.20.18 | Yeah Hopeless Hopes rips. | necropig
02.20.18 | Only listened to 7, 8 & 10. Heard of extol but never checked, rest I've never heard of | combustion07
02.22.18 | It really does front to back. That Extol album is pretty damn solid too | DePlazz
02.22.18 | ^I've never been able to figure out all the time signatures on that one. Which is normally a thing that would turn me off, but here it keeps intriguing me. Some of the tracks are just too good: Emancipation, Thrash Synergy, Paradigms, Grace For Succession. The drumming is on another level too.
@necropig check it out man, see what the fuss is about | Casavir
07.15.18 | Underrated list. Bands like Slauter Xstroyes are especially underappreciated. | DePlazz
07.15.18 | Hehe tx. Slauter Xstroyes is awesome, but so obscure. They were mainly a NY area thing if I'm not mistaken, along with Znowhite. | Casavir
07.15.18 | Martyr, Realm and !T.O.O.H.! are great as well. Wish !T.O.O.H.! carried some of the momentum they gained with Order and Punishment but oh well. | DePlazz
07.15.18 | !T.O.O.H.! are good at not doing what is expected of them :) Their subsequent effort was a bit too elusive and experimental for me. But they're working on new material, should be interesting. | DePlazz
07.15.18 | ^@Thrust Vektor eh? That band any good? | DaveT0738
05.11.20 | Why !T.O.O.H.! doesn't have a profile yet? | combustion07
05.12.20 | Old school bumpage right there. This was a solid list | DePlazz
05.12.20 | "Why !T.O.O.H.! doesn't have a profile yet?"
They had two profiles, they're merged now: https://www.sputnikmusic.com/bands/%21T.O.O.H.%21/2228/ | DePlazz
05.12.20 | Added Forté to boot. | FR33L0RD
05.12.20 | Still a great list! 10-11 i know/like. Bookmarked for the rest to jam. | parksungjoon
