| Tramlines - Ballroom
A few of the acts that I saw at the 'prog' venue at Tramlines Festival ryesterday and their best rrralbums they played.rCan anyone tell me the last song The Enid played? (if anyone was there, rrrrI'm looking at you, Mad.)rI never listened to them before, missed most of the act since I was rrrout rfor food but when I got back I was kicking myself, those guys were rkickass. | 1 | | iLiKETRAiNS The Shallows
Shoegaze/post-punk band that are uncannily like The Editors (but much better),
great performance, mostly of it was off their latest album The Shallows which I got
more attached to after seeing them play it in May. | 2 | | Enochian Theory Life... and All it Entails
Heard of them, never listened to them before, wished I did. Really good progressive
metal, check it out | 3 | | The Pineapple Thief Someone Here is Missing
The band that made the night, dayum do they have energy. They were right after
Enid and before Anathema, so the (rather aged) crowd weren't too impressed.
Bruce has a strong Bellamy/Yorke vibe around him in his awesome performance, I
just wished the crowd showed a little more enthusiasm for these guys | 4 | | The Pineapple Thief Little Man
Snowdrops. Easily the best song of the entire night. | 5 | | Anathema Weather Systems
Better than I expected them to be since they were an acoustic set, the looping
was fabulous! I just wished they played another song off Weather Systems - isn't it
the worst thing ever when the band ask you to sing and you don't know the words
to their song? | |

07.22.13 | I was at Tramlines but didn't end up seeing much, mainly due to the ridiculous queues and my friends' preference for drugs over music.
I did, however, spend a fortune in Record Collector, which is one of the best independent shops I've ever been in, so the weekend was worth it.
I'd have liked to have seen I Like Trains, though. | Mad.
08.13.13 | Just saw this. I didn't go in the end, went to the Kscope London gigs instead. Still sounds pretty awesome though, I'd love to see TPT live.
I saw the full Anathema band ;) |
