Krazytom's 10 Best Hip-hop Albums Of All Time

If my avatar didn't give it away, I listen to a lot of hip-hop, so here's a list of some of my favs
10Black Star
Black Star

Couldn't decide on a Talib or Mos Def album to place here, so why not just
use the album they are both on? Some top notch rhyming and lyricism, the
beats make it a great album to just sit and relax to, and great songs all the
way through
9Outkast
Aquemini

Big Boi and Dre at their finest, loved these guys before they got all
commercial on us. Love the funk aspects of it, a great record
8Public Enemy
Fear of a Black Planet

Public Enemy rules, plain and simple, everything about this record rules,
and its only the 2nd best PE album
7A Tribe Called Quest
The Low End Theory

Some truly great vibes on this one, love these guys, real positive and
upbeat, something you rarely see in hip-hop anymore sadly
6Raekwon
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx...

The 2nd best Wu solo album, while GZA and Wu take the ninja and martial
arts themes, here we get a truly great Mafioso them, a really well put
together album
5Public Enemy
It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us

Consider yourselves WARNED...the intro goes as this album rips to life. One
of the most intense hip-hop albums of all time, so much passion and fire
coming from Chuck D. And Flava adds all the fun and humor to make a
great dynamic album, All you need to know is that they sample Slayer's
Angel of Death on this record, boom
4The Notorious B.I.G.
Ready to Die

While 2pac may win in quantity of good albums, Biggy takes him in quality.
No surprise this was one of Rolling Stone's best 500, you'll find some of the
best rhymes in hip-hop on this record
3GZA
Liquid Swords

The best of the Wu-Tang solo albums, really everything good about a rap
album, great lyrical world play throughout, and some more great ninja and
martial s movies references that everyone can love. BIBLE is still one of the
greatest single rap songs of all time
2Wu-Tang Clan
Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)

Wu-Tang killa bees on a swarm! Nothing can beat the Clan together, A
nearly flawless album, and one of the best examples of a true rap-group
working in a team dynamic, love the martial arts movie references, love this
album
1Nas
Illmatic

Truly a masterpiece, not just of hip-hop, but of music in general, Nas paints
a perfect picture of what life is like on the streets of NY. Sad that he would
never debut this and that many artists who followed shamefully rip him off
and get all the popularity...
