A Large Pile Of Vinyl

Ever since my record player has been up and running, the usual pile of CD's messily shuffled about my desk has been replaced by a much larger and much more inconvenient pile of records that are finally being put to proper use. Here's the best of the pile (what I've been spinning for the past week).
1Arcade Fire

I bought this in Montreal. It felt super legit.
2King Crimson
In The Court Of The Crimson King

Bought in Amsterdam at a fantastic little record shop. The signage out front
was this album cover.
3 Japandroids
Younger Us [single]

b-side: cover of Sex And Dying in High Society. Limited edition clear vinyl. It
came with an airhead too. It was delicious. Younger Us might be my
favourite Japandroids song.
"Remember that night you were already in bed said 'fuck it' got up to drink
with me instead?" Do I ever. Do I ever.
Dog's Blood

Limited edition green coloured vinyl (700 copies, only available at their
5Neutral Milk Hotel
In The Aeroplane Over The Sea

A vinyl essential
6Elliott Smith

This record gives me goosebumps errrrrrywhere.
The Bends

Don't Leave Me Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh, Don't Leave Me
8 John Lennon
Singles Bag

Limited edition release for Record Store Day 2010. Three 7" Lennon singles
with Yoko Ono b-sides (barf, for the most part).
Crack The Skye

Red and Gold swirled vinyl. I bought during their tour with Dethklok last year.
Viva La Vida

Coldplay rules. Fact.
11TV on The Radio
Dear Science

He's a what? He's a what? He's a newspaper man, and he gets his best
ideas from a newspaper stand
12Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To

Post-rock awesomeness.
13The National
High Violet

I still owe money, to the money, to the money I owe. I never thought
about love, when I thought about home.
14John Mayer

Me and all my friends, we're all misunderstood. They say we stand for
nothing and there's no way we ever could.
15La Dispute
Somewhere At The Bottom Of The River...

I bought this at their show (opening for AOF). Record 1 is beautiful white
vinyl and record 2 has a wicked etching on the b-side. This is easily my
most listened to record of the past couple of weeks.
16Bon Iver
Blood Bank

I bought this EP at their show last year in Galway, Ireland.

When I counted up my demons, saw there was one for every day. I kept
the good one's in my pocket, and lead the other one's away.
(I think I have that lyric wrong but that's how it sounds in my head).
Hymn To The Immortal Wind

An epic winter album. The warmth of the crackly vinyl makes it ever more
wintery. If only I could come up with a way to listen to records portably so
that I could walk though the snow with this spinning and crackling away...
