10.22.25 | I’ll probably never not love 4 and it mostly has to do with my upbringing. Listening to them brings me down a bit because it reminds me of a time and place that’s gone forever out of my life, can’t expect others to understand that.
Doesn’t matter how many cool eclectic bands I listen to now, you put on Badfish, Garbage Grove or 40 Oz and I’m taken back home spiritually. |

10.22.25 | Ngl I've always agreed that 2 isn't worthy of it's classic status. But you're seemingly not allowed to criticize Pink Floyd lol |

10.22.25 | Naked in the Rain is an absolute tune! |

10.22.25 | I’ll criticize Roger Waters all I want if he’s gonna keep acting as smug as he does |

10.22.25 | #5 has some bangers but it is indeed exhausting to get through |
brendanissnaz
10.22.25 | 1, 2, and 5 are absolutely classics (Nevermind's back half isn't as immediate as the front half but it has just as many essential tracks). The rest are indeed overrated and major mixed bags. |
gryndstone
10.22.25 | DSOTM is great the whole way through but i've always agreed it's overrated. Wish You Were Here is right there |

10.23.25 | No argument of artistic licence can justify "Kim". It is unforgiveable. |
AlkemestRedux
10.23.25 | Yeah Kim was hard to listen too even back when I was a little edgelord. It's unlistenable now.
I think DSOTM is actually awesome though but I can see why it made the list considering that every department store in the country has an album shirt in stock at all times. Same with Led Zeppelin. |

10.23.25 | No Meshuggah? |

10.23.25 | I love Kanye and agree with 5. It's one of the most overrated hip hop albums ever and a good amount of people who laud over it don't fuck w the genre like that.
1 is a hard 5 to me
Love 4 too but it can never be forgiven for spawning the genre of white boy reggae |

10.23.25 | “Love 4 too but it can never be forgiven for spawning the genre of white boy reggae”
Mick Jagger and UB40 did that more than a decade and a half earlier |
PsychLizard
10.23.25 | I prefer In Utero but I´ve seen the general consesus shift alot in regards to 1. "It's the most mid album out of the grunge era" and then "It's one of the most important rock albums of the 90's" and not "It's mid again", probably has to do with Gen Z digging up these albums.
Absolutely adore 4, such a fun album oozing with personality.
Ya'll need to stop shitting on Kim its on par with Stan. It does what it sets out to do perfectly. It's an ugly song, filled with ugly feelings and it's the point.
Eminem has alot of edgy stuff for the sake of it, this is not of them. |

10.23.25 | While true RVA, I still find the American versions much more egregious lol |
WalrusTusk
10.23.25 | I think your criticism about DSOTM is fair, as it's one of those albums that gets thrown on a t-shirt, but at the same time it's a classic album. I can't think of a single song that doesn't work in context or overstays its welcome. The whole thing is only 42 minutes. |
