I COULD stand to talk about heads a little because I’m yet to really do that and should listen more despite enjoying their music I love Cocteau Twins, enjoy discussing their other material but yeah HOLV is no longer essential in this regard Radiohead, easily Mezzanine maybe, but I prefer Blue Lines and sometimes like to flaunt my edginess Bjork in general is getting a little stale (the discussions, not her music) I’m bored talking about ANY of the original death metal titans / classics at this point (including ALL Opeth). Mastodon discussion is boring as hell too. Converge as well. Over exposed here. I probably don’t NEED to discuss Portishead at this point either
DoofDoof 03.06.25	This seems like a list Tool should feature on, though would they qualify as AMAZING? 'Reign in Blood' might make the cut - has anyone ever said anything too interesting about it? I hate to say this, I really do, but sometimes I think people are all talked out about The National at this juncture...plus they're at a low ebb.

foxblood 03.06.25	I would say outside of sput, Thriller. A lot of people think it's the best album ever made. Same with To Pimp a Butterfly to a lesser extent. On sput None So Vile. It's probably in my top 10 albums but there's literally nothing else to say it's just a masterpiece.

Which of my recent 100+ ratings includes these "only 5 artists" I listen to? I have over 1,200 ratings, the majority of which are at least 3.5s

I mean you could... except in many circumstances I find this means talking to yourself, so it entirely depends on interest levels. There are plenty of threads for (what I'd consider to be) fairly significant artists that lay dormant and are subject to maybe a couple of fresh new comments per year (if you're lucky). I find myself commenting in popular threads more than I otherwise would, simply to be part of a discussion / community I will still comment in obscure threads because it serves as a personal ref of sorts (even if no-one responds), but unfortunately this is the other side of the over-discussion issue. It stands to reason that a lack of activity is a vicious circle of "why bother?" if you're actively seeking responses. My advice to anyone is be the change you want to see. So what if you end up with a whole page of your own comments? lol... it might bring visibility and if the timing is right, new interested users / listeners can emerge from the shadows

I work with a lot of older white men who are all about gnr and acdc so that’s why they came to mind, can’t stand listening to them talk about those bands. They’re good albums ya but ugh so tiring. If I could redo I’d probably drop any of the last three counterparts albums
PsychLizard 03.07.25	Dark side of the moon. It's not the best Floyd album by a looooooooooong shot. It just the fact the album cover is so iconic, and yeah, it has some amazing songs. But The Wall, Animals and WYWH are all far superior.
