North0House2 01.24.25	Bro I just went through some sort of bullshit from Dec. 31 to today still. I was the sickest I've been in my entire life. Full stop. I had pink eye and strep on top of it because it was so intense that it triggered opportunistic infections. I work in healthcare as a hospital electrician and I oversee the entire facilities operation so I talk to every department and hear every metric and patient and viral load reported to me every morning. Influenza A is popping off and absolutely is ripping through my area, which is quite rural and isolated. I have heard that the flu vaccine this year was for Influenza B which was the predicted dominant strain. I know so many people that have had pink eye with this as well. It's absolutely wack. I had COVID at the very beginning. I still can't smell. It sucks. It ripped through me too. I was sicker with this than I was with COVID. Anecdotally, I used to work for an outfit that did electrical maintenance on industrial chicken farms. 800,000 birds per ranch packed into huge row houses eternally. That was a trip lmao. Bird jail. Anyway, I was working at one of the ranches near me and remember thinking that it at had an abnormally high amount of dead birds one morning when I stepped into one of the row houses. There were some temp laborers cleaning up the dead birds and piling them in the middle so a tractor could scoop them up and haul them off. This wasn't super abnormal, just weird to me. A few weeks later, I found that the guys cleaning those birds up were some of the first individuals that contracted Bird Flu. They survived but it was really hard on them and they eventually recovered in about a month. Small world. I was there. I saw it happen.
Dedes 01.24.25	Damn brother that's wild IG bird flu is extremely rare to contract in humans so I imagine having it can be a little frightening knowing there's probably not enough info to really fight it in a human but ig it's also p much non-lethal in humans. I've had pink eye IT once and it was unpleasant but whew boy would I assuredly take that over strep, that shit takes seemingly an eternity to recover from.
