Butkuiss 01.20.25	How did nobody tag me yet wtf. Usually gym stuff is hardcore or death/groove metal, but will occasionally branch out into other genres. Presently been bumping A Life Once Lost - A Great Artist for general strength and hypertrophy work. Blood Has Been Shed - Spirals is my all time goat gym album though.
Dedes 01.20.25	I do kinda like mindless chugga chugs ala Bolt Thrower, Dyscarnate, Knocked Loose, what have you but if I know i'm gonna push a mental last set I can think of 3 particular songs that just have that dumbbell smashing squat rack annihilating riffage and that's Blackbraid-The Wolf That Guides the Hunters Hand/Havukruunu-Vainovalkeat and Moonlight Sorcery-Suden Tie

Butkuiss 01.20.25	100% agreed Dedes. Not only do some songs just have the juice for a heavy one repper that most music doesn’t, songs can 100% run out of juice too. Unfortunately have had this happen to more than a couple cherished gym tracks. :’( Dracula Flow is my lo-fi sleepytime asmr
Dedes 01.20.25	Lol yeah, tbh sometimes i'll just drop the music entirely for that reason. Almost feels like sometimes it becomes background noise and ya can get a better focus when you're tuned out of it. It is always a sad vibe when the mood for music isn't hitting however rare it may be
Butkuiss 01.20.25	Sometimes instead of music I just shout “Yass Queen” and “Slayy” every rep. Gym staff stop challenging you on it once you start squatting more than 140kg for reps.

BallsToTheWall 01.20.25	I second Dracula Flow but I’ve been making it a point lately to learn gym etiquette and lift without music. Out with being that one crazy asshole, and in with embracing the tribe. I wish I could use that approach in other areas of life that I’m severely lacking in.
