Hype you would probably dig 46/97 since you like those bands. Love hearing you dig Master Killer
Hawks, their first like 4 albums all rule. Even Slither the nu metal one has aged well imo |

01.13.25 | Good shit and maybe. 35 now but went to a bunch of shows in Ft. Lauderdale at
Culture room and Revolution and saw circle takes the square in Pembroke Pines at the talent farm. I miss those days in a way. |
jrlikestodance
01.13.25 | I'm gonna be 33 in March and was regularly at all those venues too. Rev/Culture Room are where all my first shows took place. Started going to Talent Farm at 17 and then religiously after I graduated from like 2010-2013. Saw Power Trip, Foundation, TUI, Title Fight and a bunch of others regularly. In hindsight we didn't know how great we had it out there. |
BallsToTheWall
01.13.25 | Holy shit, that’s sick. And I completely agree man. Talent Farm was an incredible part
Of life. Missed seeing harms way and dose orange there before they got huge which I |

@ Emim Thanks for the list dude. Definitely a few I'm unfamiliar with so I will bookmark
@ Fowl Slayercore was first said to me in regards to the band Day of Suffering but now I use it to refer to 90s metalcore built upon Slayer riffs lol
@ Nex Leaving off Napalm was a tough choice as I felt my favorite albums by them leaned too death metal. I guess that was silly tho since I included Assuck |

01.13.25 | Jammed a few tracks from that He is Legend album and it fucking rips. Reminds me of ETID but with more melodic sensibilities. Definitely will do a full play through soon.
As far as new hardcore bands, everyone please check New World Man. They dropped two new songs last week and are quickly becoming my new favorite core/thrash band |
Emim
01.13.25 | He Is Legend is an essential listen. You're in for a treat |

01.14.25 | Huge props for LOA, VOD, OLW and Merauder, but I’m deducting marks big time for a lack of Blood Has Been Shed, Candiria, Coalesce and Killswitch (?!?!?) |
jrlikestodance
01.14.25 | I realized I forgot The End of Heartache after publishing the list lol, I was so mad. Coalesce is also on here!
I just got into Candiria recently but Process of Self Development slaps. Really need to give some more time to the rest of their discog |
Emim
01.14.25 | Have you listened to Living Sacrifice? Both Hammering Process and Conceived In Fire are worth listens |

01.16.25 | Rec Thoughts:
He Is Legend - I Am Hollywood: This album definitely lives up to its high avg and Sput love. It's catchy, it moshes, it riffs, and its a shitload of fun. Reminds me of southern core ETID meets Beloved meets Safety era Underoath but even comparing them to those bands seems reductive as these guys have their own swag/sauce. Definitely can see me digging into this a ton more this year and I'm considering hitting the anniversary tour since its coming somewhat close to me.
Straight Reads the Line - The Author: I love how much of a throwback this was. Really miss these bands from the late 2000s that threw in elements from all the music they loved into a blender to make something fun and unique. This is somewhere at the intersection of Post hc, metalcore and mathcore but can't entirely be pinned down. Did these guys have two vocalists? I'd be very impressed if it was the same singer pulling off all the vocals but you never know. Very cool and surprising release that I think more Sputfam should be aware of
Living Sacrifice - The Hammering Process: Damn this is legit the hardest Christcore I think I've heard aside from Advent. It's like VOD and Merauder had a baby who escaped from the streets of NY and went on to the study Christ. Absolutely punishing riffs that had me pitting in my room. Really going to need to do a deep dive into these guys. Emim has never missed on a rec
Thanks for all the awesome tunes y'all |
SteakByrnes
01.16.25 | ayy glad to hear you dug straight reads the line! They were so sick, and that was all one vocalist! I really loved their blend of riffs and just pounding out chugs lol, they kinda got that same style as super early ETID in a way. They didn't last long, but the vocalist is in a band called Teeth now |
Emim
01.16.25 | I always confuse them with Straight Line Stitch lol |
jrlikestodance
01.16.25 | Really cool stuff Steak, thanks again m/.
Another glaring omission from me on here is Until the End - Blood in the Ink. Straight edge Hatebreed worship that goes hard as fuck. Prob would be generic to some but this record is a cult Florida classic.
RIP Mean Pete < 3 |
jrlikestodance
01.30.25 | I honestly need to remake this at some point. Glaring deathcore omissions (; |
frozencarl
01.30.25 | yoo glad you digging He Is Legend, you HAVE to go see em if you can, especially since theyre playing that album in full. it is so insanely worth it. plus i think Cancer Bats is on that bill so you already know its gonna get rowdy |
