Doing the Mort

Men, I'm a manly man looking for non-metal music a manly man might enjoy. Pls don't give me the Pink Floyds, Perturbators or Colemen. Gimme the Oomoris, Bibios and Shepps. Guitars are fine as long as they're not heavy.

Reminds me of post-cokenight breakfasts at shady hipster lounges ca. 2008.

Never been to a lounge *that* shady. Seems chill at first, but gets unsettling every so often. P sure Jam could give one or two unmanly men a bad trip.

The voice of an angel?! Foo, this is the perfect backdrop for manly Christmas online shopping. On a desktop, because we vilipend smombies, yes?

Not entirely sure what to make of the 'njom-njom' vocalizing, but this was depressing and uplifting at the same time. Much man.

The Vangelis of Dark Souls? Wait, no. The The Dark Side of the Moon of cinematic industrial ambient? Whatevs, it's lovely.

I wanna bathe in those textural synths. Some very fun 90s Euro rollover vibes on this one. Like a Pen gooooooes. Hello? Is this The Knife? Could you please travel back in time and prevent yourselves from writing One Hit? That one can f right off. Thanks!

A dreamy downer that felt even longer than it already is. Dunno what mood I'd have to be in to get proper enjoyment™ out of this, but won't deny that it's great.

Concert in Japan

Rec'd by chemicalmarriage

Look, chem, I'm sure there's people who enjoy their peak jazz in FOUR-HOUR bursts, but I'm not one of those. The music is obviously fantastic and I sat through it with as few short breaks as possible, but the length really soured it for me. What should have been easy fivebait turned into a strenuous endurance test. Manly stuff tho.

A shorter rec for a change. Very manly vocals. They should do more of those Nirvana covers.

Why get an N64 when you could have a C64? Food for thought. Maybe use an actual MOS 6581 next time.

This is dandling my fistulae. The kinda stuff I'd listen to all day if the goal was to make the plants feel cozy. A full Godsmack discog run in chronological order is adequate punishment for the Britney trustee vibes quip.

You know how to man, bud. What a snug December listen. Adding 0.06 for the fantastic cover art.

How'd you manage to crack my code? What gave it away? Nvm, checked your pie. Classical is where it's at, where a man can be at peace with himself and just let the ebb and flow of life be for a while. More of a brass guy, but these Skrjabin pieces were superb. Check Mussorgsky.

If there's one person who knows how to do the Mort,

it's Terry Stamp.

Oh yeah, this was groovy.
