04.18.24 | Technically old world vultures and new world vultures aren’t directly related and have different bird species that separate them taxonomically. Old world vultures are more related to hawks and eagles than they are new world vultures.
My opinion is that it’s confusing that both groups are called vultures | GiaNXGX

04.18.24 | I remember having a conversation with a pretty intelligent cowowker upon stumbling across some vultures in the wild about why their necks are hairless. He didn't know why their necks are hairless, so he suggested they were that way for cleaning purposes after eating. It makes sense, the blood red color of a vulture's neck seems apt for a carnivore, but of course I wanted a real answer. That night I looked it up, and it turns out the neck is hairless for cooling purposes! Since vultures fly at such intense altitudes they need a robust method to stay warm, while also being able to cool off once they reach the ground. Thus, the neck! While on the ground they release heat through their bald bits, which they then tuck away at high altitude!
Personally, it was an excellent lesson in the deficiencies of conjecture and the necessity to strongly research in even the silliest of conversations. | ToSmokMuzyki

04.18.24 | The general consensus is racist or xenophobic music should be excluded from streaming platforms, yet we have ye - an open bigot, on spotify- so much smart money at play~ | jrlikestodance
04.18.24 | I don't really listen/like black metal but expecting anything more than performative action from Spotify will always be a losing battle | Gameofmetal
04.18.24 | Ye's antisemitism is exclusively in his public speech and not in his art I think so that's the easy answer but I'm down to kick his ass off the platform too if you really want. Likewise SOME Satanic Warmaster albums are on there, but not the ones with the open nazi stuff. | GiaNXGX
04.18.24 | To a degree i agree but there’s tracks where he directly doubles down on it and makes ambiguous statements, sure we can also interprete it as him shunning the media for “stigmatizing” his image, but propus i don’t necessarily agree with it, it’s still offensive | ToSmokMuzyki

04.19.24 | @Gameofmetal I'm pretty sure if you said that to Werwolf, he would be claiming SW's early stuff is NOT NS wink wink. | JKing92

I think this is probably the most plausible answer, though I will admit I have not heard the album (and will not, because fuck him). There's considerable distance between Kanye and NSBM, particularly in how mainstream Kanye is and remains. Regardless of my boycotting of his work from here on out, because of his popularity, he will reach more human beings than any black metal act, and if they really were to pull Vultures off Spotify, his delusional dickriders would chime in with the requisite deluge of anti-"cancel culture" bullshit (not to mention the flat out fascism they parrot from their god). The NSBM scene, by comparison, is so minor that there's relatively no demand for their despicable, bigoted "art" on streaming.
So ultimately, I agree with Gameofmetal, in that this likely comes down to Kanye espousing hate in the world more than his music. As disgusted as I am by him as a person, it's nowhere near as equally balanced as it is in the NSBM world, where the art directly, explicitly reflects the views of the artist. | BAT
04.19.24 | i feel like the average nsbm record label puts more money towards supremacist causes outside of music thaan kanyes putting towards nazi festivals and whatnot, giving the fuentes 'america first' morons a paychecks not a good look though.
the album itself is mostly a chore and inspite of all the controversy kanyes built up in his personal life, he really had nothing to say. ty dollar sign likewise just had a buncha generic 2017 braindead club bs | JKing92
04.19.24 | Yeah, I think that's about right. Kanye's not performing on bills with the fascist musical spawn of Burzum or Skrewdriver (yet), so I don't think he's going anywhere, his platforming of (comparatively) mainstream white supremacists notwithstanding. | BookoftheFallen
04.19.24 | Whats with this guy and racist black metal? | GiaNXGX
04.19.24 | Definitely, there’s a fine difference between ye’s music and nsbm, although he can be equally as vocal - some nsbm acts just talk about scifi and historical events, which [in the light of the matter] make it way less nefarious, having some guy embrace “i’m an antisemite, and still king” is kind of trashy. My personal opinion is it’s better if it’s selectively censored, certain offensive tracks get censored and more ok tracks kept, kanye can also use hatreon, or he’ll just go mad and end up “building” a spotify for NS art - which — in the end, is worse |
